Something smells... off. Allsort's legs, which were sticking straight out as they balanced over the edge of a dumpster, pulled themselves in so that the creature could turn to grip the edge of the bin. Small fingers barely holding on and the top of their head peeking out ever so slightly, they surveyed the alley they were in. They hadn't felt like dealing with any humans at present, so they had decided to get their late-evening snack from the evening-lit alleyway littered with shards of broken glass and black widow's webs. They were sure that no one was going to bother them in here, so it was all the more jarring that they could smell anything other than the reek. However, something was off. They were very used to the smell of humans, even the smell of the far bigger ones that would occasionally accompany the small ones. They were even accustomed to the smell of animals they occasionally came in contact with, like rats, frogs and insects. This didn't smell of either of them. In fact... Smells like... me.
