Rainy Day Open Starter

Rainfall.  The sky had opened up during last period and the sidewalks are already starting to fill up with puddles.  Most everyone had planned accordingly and brought an umbrella, raincoat, or poncho.  Some more clever students feign forgetfulness to share an umbrella with their crush on the walk home.  The mass exodus files out like a stream from the main UA building.  Everyone seems to want to get home quickly and get out of the rain and damp uniforms.

The locker area is practically empty except for a girl standing by the door, staring out at the rain.  Had she forgotten to check the weather that morning?  She might be waiting for the clouds to clear up a bit then.

“It’s just a fine mist,” she sighs, as the rain’s applause grows louder with a rumble of thunder.  “What a rip off.”
