What does scenting mean

It's when people of either of the three dynamics essentially rubs their scent glands, like sweat glands sort of thing, against someone else or pieces of clothing in order to imbue this person with their scent.

Scent glands usually vary in location from verse to verse (aka from person to person), but usually the one consensus seems to be that they're present in the neck and wrists. But other verses have them on their inner thighs, elbows, ankles and forehead.

It can have many meanings, but usually it's for comfort and affection. It has a context similar to hugging or kissing someone you know. It's a demonstration of affection. But it can have the context of territorialism. A way of saying "this Omega/Alpha/Beta is mine! Back off!".

It's not necessarily exclusive to romantic partners. Friends and Parent-Child relationships also can have this as a present manifestation of affection.

Hi! Can i ask what your headcanons are for alpha females / how do they look like???

I'm assuming you're asking as a follow up to my post of how male Omegas look like physiscally, this one right here. Honestly I could put one or three pictures here, but honestly I think I can just direct you to @femslash-omegaverse and tell you to scroll through it and you'll know how I see most Alpha women. It's a great blog btw, you should follow her!

But to be very honest, when I think of the ultimate Alpha female, I actually think of a character who's not actually in this super buff body type. I think of Sun Jing from Tan Jiu's Tamen de Gushi. Sun Jing would probably be an atypical looking female Alpha for western standards. Yes, she is tall and she is canonically very athletic, but she's also very slender and delicate looking. Which is not bad at all, but it is something that would maybe be more in line with a Beta female. But Sun Jing is honestly the ultimate Female Alpha. I love the manhua and her dynamics with her Omega, Qiu Tong.
