Elain Archeron, caught hiding amongst butterfly whispers and the forget-me-nots.
A little Azriel appreciation post. I have no idea why he’s my favourite from the three… maybe it says something about my own preferences - and myself! (Do I have a saviour complex? Or do I like my men mysterious?) Who knows! I think I like drawing these characters because I find their personalities complex. What I love the most about Sarah J Maas’ bat boys, is that she gives you juuuuust enough information to find their personality types, but everything else is down to your imagination. Azriel, Cassian, and Rhysand can be whoever we want them to be in our own mind’s eye.
This is my Az.
A little change in book theme… 👀

“Between thousands of bookshelves and desks chaotically scattered around the five-storey library tower, she wouldn’t be easily spotted here — not unless someone knew where to look. In the deepest corner of the third floor, between the aisles denoting ’Maps of the Olden World’ and ’Mathematical Theories’, she sunk into a chair and hid behind a tall stack of textbooks, just in case.
Ildri had decided to rest her eyes from the books for only a minute. The back of her head felt like it had been melting. The sun beamed through the glass, almost finding its peak in the midday sky, and had awoken her from an accidental nap.”
