It was a good night for seeing retired Hawks at the UC tonight. Pic and autograph on my calendar from Bicks, front and center for Sharpy interviewing Steeger before his One Last Shift, plus Bur and Bobby Hull sightings.

Marcus Kruger traded to where else? Carolina. At least he'll be in good company. I'm officially dubbing the Hurricanes "Blackhawks East" now.

After watching the livestream of the convention this weekend, I’ve renewed my long dormant appreciation of Adam Burish. He’s hilarious and has definitely gotten better looking as he’s gotten older. I’m heading into his tag, so I’d imagine there will be a lot of Bur pics reblogged.  You’re welcome.

I’m sad that Laddy is gone

Although I know we needed defense and it made sense to bring Soupy back, I wish we could have kept Ladd. Of all the players from the 2010 Cup team that left, he was my favorite. I was so excited when he came back. Even though I knew he was only going to be a rental, I still held out hope. Now he’ll be playing with Leddy on the Isles.  

Now that the Isles have two of my favorite players, I guess I’ll have to follow the Isles too. I always want my boys to do well, wherever they end up. Take care of our boys, Islanders.
