Had a binge watch of the Princess Diaries the other day and it sparked the desire to draw Mia's gorgeous red dress at the beginning of the second movie :3

Happy #ThrowbackThursday! Did you know that the Princess Diaries movie was released 20 years ago in 2001? Wow, how time flies! I remember seeing it when it was brand new. I was in eighth grade. I didn't read the books until I was in high school, and I fell in love with them. The movie is great, too! We won't talk about the disappointment that was the sequel, though. :D
In honor of the movie's 20th birthday, Kenleigh broke out her DVD for a little movie night! Is it different from the books? Of course, but it's still great in its own right! I especially love how Mia and I share a birthday (only mentioned in the books, but still epic)!
Break out the popcorn, and the princess-inspired nightgown (it actually came with the Princess Adventure three-pack LOL):
This would be me trying to eat with a scarf binding me to a chair!
Cheering at Mia's decision to retain her title as Princess of Genovia!
Even though the characters of Grandmere are different between the movie and books, I think we can all agree that Julie Andrews was a great addition to this movie!
The movie is almost over, and Mia and Michael have their happy ending! Swoon.
Mia may have liked Josh at first, but I personally always thought Michael looked better from the beginning LOL!
Mini DVD I made:
Unpopular opinion:
The Princess Diaries movies were better than the books
(And I have read ALL the books)
The Princess Diaries icons.
If you save it, like it.
Can we talk about Amelia Thermopolis' hair?
Growing up my hair and eyebrows were about the same in appearance. If I am being honest, looking back on this movie and watching her transformation leaves me underwhelmed.
So they tweezed her eyebrows and put relaxers in her hair?
I would have loved to see Anne Hathaway rocking some bold eyebrows and serious curls in this movie.
Long story short, her makeover did not age well with me.
Still dtf Michael Moscovitz tbh
Shut up! Bounding as one of my all time favorite fictional characters ever today, Amelia Thermopolis! The Princess Diaries is my favorite live action Disney movie, and while completely different from the book series by Meg Cabot ,which I also adore and have read many times, I like the differences. I feel like people forget this is a Disney movie, so that’s why I chose it as my underrated bound! Sorry this is so long, I have a lot of feelings about this movie and this character, I mean one of daughters is named Amelia. 😏

I don't want to rule my own country, I just want to pass the tenth grade.
