"partying"

My dad calls me leaving the house "partying." Every time I'm like "hey dad gunna go hang with _____." He's like "oh, another party. see ya later." He complains all the time that I party too much, and I'm so confused. Going to the movies or chillin at someone's house is not partying. He's complaining about me not finishing some final college forms because I'm "partying" too much. 

Benefits: When I'm actually going to a party, I'll just tell him that I'm partying and he'll act like it's normal.
