Chriswhat? | The Doctor and The Ponds
A simple black radio, its antennae sticking up in completely opposite directions, sat on the rail beside the Doctor- who was currently residing in the small (and only) chair in the large central console room of the (even larger) TARDIS. His legs were propped up onto the rail, a few feet beside the radio as he twiddled his thumbs, green hues darting around the area trying to come up with something new and exciting to do. The radio quietly sung Perry Como's Silver Bells, which the Time Lord was subconsciously tapping his toes to- gently, though, as to not knock the black box off the rail.
Outside, snow drifted lazily to the dead ground; large tufts- like cotton balls -making vague spirals as they descended. The Doctor longed, just slightly, to be out there; snowing catching in his hair and to his jacket as he ran about building snowmen and creating the ultimate arsenal of snowballs. That was what 'normal' people did with snow, wasn't it? And that question he had about it all, whether what he did was 'normal', caused him to hole himself inside his ship. After all, he was visiting the Ponds, and he had to seem as Human-y Wuman-y as possible.
Eyes fell upon the umbrella by the double door, causing him to almost jump out of his seat with a grand idea. "Ooh we could-" He slumped back down. "No, we did that last week." Not everyone could say that they were able to ensure the beheading of a rather zealous (and tedious) king of a rivaling planetary investor of the little known star Pliny IV with nothing but an umbrella and a stick of butter. But then again, not everyone was the Doctor, and not everyone got to travel with him.
The double doors of the TARDIS creaked open, bringing with the noise a gust of cold air, a few dozen stray snow flakes, and a pair of wonderful impossible people. The Ponds.
For the brief moment the doors were open, the Doctor was able to spot the festive outdoors; all decorated up with tinsel and lights and multitudes of Santa figurines and posters and what-not. Thin brows knit together as he turned his gaze to Rory, who headed the duo of Ponds.
"Mind the snow, won't you? Y'know how Sexy gets- especially since I just had this place cleaned!" He must have sounded like an upset mother, but it was all for the fun and joke- Rory ought to know that by know.
"What's with the- the-" He waved his hand towards the outdoors before quickly crossing his arms over his chest. "Is it a holiday?"
