It hits nesting season for the sparse population of pinstripe demons in the valley.

Sun and Moon rarely make nests apart from one another and will typically just share the one. The only times they haven't was as kits and after a particularly nasty argument.

But Moon becomes particularly antsy about the state of it this year. No longer can they just toss any bits of ivy or moss into their nest once it's been checked for ticks or thorns. No, it must be perfect. It must be a nice shade of green or orange, no wilting!

Sun is rather sick of it but considering they're high energy when it's warm, he just plays along. It isn't until Sun realizes that Moon is attempting to impress little hare with his nest-making skills that Sun decides he will leave Moon to have his own nest. Not far... in fact, just a mere few meters away.

At first it was out of respect..... well, until Sun realized that he could show you that he makes the better nest. His is better and you should be more impressed by his instead of Moon's!
