OK folks it's that time of year again God help us and if you are a US voter abroad here are some links you need to know about!!

VoteFromAbroad.org - if you don't live in the US, you can request your absentee ballot here to vote in the midterms on November 3! Do it now!!

Democrats Abroad - the overseas branch of the US Democratic Party is phonebanking to remind their members to request and send in their ballots! You must first join DA to participate, BUT this means no cold-calling or persuading people, simply contacting folks who are already registered Dem voters and helping them to vote! If there is a DA chapter in your area, you can also volunteer locally to get people registered to vote.

Living overseas doesn't mean you can't make a difference and in fact your vote and action can make ALL the difference! So LFG 🗳️🇺🇸🦅

Just spoke to dad on the phone and he nearly gave me a heart attack

He told me he'd like me to not interrupt, because he'd come up with a full and comprehensive list of reasons to vote Tory at the election.

Silence came down the phone.

I started laughing and asked if that was it, and he said he'd asked me not to interrupt as he was nearly done.

Ok but real talk? Real real talk? the tumblr polls are the greatest thing to happen since shit like Superwholock and ROTBTD.

With the competitions we've got people from all sorts of fandoms giving their two cents, and we have crossover content that you'd never think to make because these characters simply have no relation to each other. Until now. And the best part? ITS NOT PLANNED.

We match them up based on how to best make the competition balanced, that's all. We would have never thought to make so much fanart and memes of Sans beating up Reigen, Cecil having a comeback, Vriska bringing up the memories of past discourse on this site because of fucking Goncharov. This is such a cool, so incredibly Tumblr thing we did because of how much fandoms are interacting with each other based on complete chance. Truly, the polls feature being utilized to create an atmosphere you'd only find in competitive sports is the best thing that both Tumblr and the community have come up with to date.

Outside of Tumblr, like many I am following, are getting involved.

Take your action to whatever you can commit. Raise up Black voices and demand justice. Even if it’s just an email, it matters.

Every little bit is important. Please take your activism beyond Tumblr and don’t let it die here.

With some of the reminders going around today of what will happen if Dictator trump wins again, please remember the far right have been arming themselves for *Years* at this point and are looking forward to permission to get away with shooting everyone they don't approve of.

Had the sobering thought that I won't have to worry about my student loans if I die in a shoot out against trumpers. And I'm not letting them shoot or deport my children without a fight.
