These meme comparisons always make me want to puke. Not all queer couples are just one couple stop trying to make them fit in two boxes and two boxes only. What do they really even have in common? Ilya has depression Henry has depression. Shane is autistic. Alex has adhd. Yes Alex and Ilya are bi, and Shane and Henry are gay BUT they're two different sets of characters? Each with their own story? I rarely see people doing this with straight couples but they always ALWAYS want to do it with popular mlm couples. Do they ever stop to ask themselves why? Why do I want to turn every queer couple I see into one model one set one stereotype that doesn't even fucking fit with their stories?? Why do I want to turn characters into caricatures so I can easily fit them in one set of two boxes instead of allowing them the uniqueness and traits they actually have?? And why do I want to dissolve all QUEER stories into just one set of loosely fitting traits??? Why do I want to reduce queer couples to two labeled boxes????
