She’s on him with the knife before he can consciously react, but he winces nonetheless, the reaction conditioned into him over years and years. The involuntary moment isn’t enough to evade the blade, though, and the pain is sharp and immediate. His wide eyes dart down, and while he can’t see much of his own face, he can feel the sting of the cut, and the blood beginning to flow down his cheek.

His mouth opens, as if to cry out or say something, anything, to the girl he’d thought he could trust, but it trembles uselessly, unable to make even a small noise, in pain or otherwise. He doesn’t move, either, other than the flinch; not that he can, either. He’s still not sure how she’d managed, but when he’d woken up only maybe ten minutes prior, he was tied, excessively roughly, to a chair, with one Sumine Takamichi in front of him, wielding both a wickedly sharp knife and smile.

“What’s the matter, Sizey~?” she teases, though she doesn’t make to cut him again. Not yet, at least. “Looking a little frazzled, there! Haha, wow. I really did a number on you, didn’t I?” A pause. “Good.” 

He’s not... quite processing this. He’d been accused of murder, for the love of God, and though he’d tried to defend himself, they had honed in on him... and once the votes were cast, had been found to be right. So, despite his pleas, he was dragged to his death. Or so he thought. The last thing he remembered was the noose of metal wires around his neck and the sound of a lightning strike. Had his hands not been literally tied, he would have gingerly reached for his neck, to check for the noose, marks, anything. He would have, however, found nothing.

“Haven’t you figured it out?” she asks, despite the fact he was still trying to parse where he even was. “Or are you still plodding along, oblivious as ever? Come on, don’t be stupid. I was the one who killed them, you know!! Sure, it was a bit of a struggle, but that metal arm just made it easier to ZZZZZAP! So everyone thought of you immediately, because, goddamn, you hated them. Everyone thought your execution was karma, right? You killed them because they put science over your god and you HATED IT. Or that’s what I wanted them to think, anyway~ Maybe I should be the SHSL Preacher instead, because you’re sure as hell not doing the talking right now! What do you have to say, Silas?”

He just stares at her, mouth still agape. 

“Mmm, not the talkative type today, Sizey? Don’t worry! I’d say I’ll talk enough for both of us, but nahhh. Actions speak louder than words...” The sick grin on her face only widens. “... and I’m just getting started.”
