Reflective Journal - (19/09/16 - 23/09/16)
The big day has finally came. Two years in the planning has lead up to this, my first week at university studying animation. I was feeling excited, I was ready to take on the challenge, I was ready to learn and make mistakes along the way but most importantly I felt like I actually meant something to be here. So the first week, what was in store for me?
Well I found my friendship groups straight away. Obviously everyone on the course is amazing in their own right and I look forward to meeting all of them as time goes on. This week was mainly an introduction. An introduction to the software, to the people, to the places and to the equipment. which was to be expected. They wouldn’t throw us in the deep end straight away Although they did have us make a short animated piece upon a street name somewhere in Norwich, and with that we where put into groups. I was in group 3 and out street we where given to make a short animated piece about was Magdalen Street in Norwich. I wont go to in depth as I already have done but since the street has nothing special be it shops, we decided to animate it on a bookshelf with all the assorted bits that street sells. I feel like if we where given more then 2 days to make this we could have done a somewhat better job as it turns out the video is quite cluttered. All in all, a cracking first week.
