Did my last convention of the year. A one day shindig, cheap table, pretty prominent VA guests.

And I loved every second of it.

I know some peeps in fandom are afraid that the kids aren't alright. I get it, it's something that I worry about too as someone who's seen what toxicity can come into fandom spaces. But this convention was a first for a lot of middleschoolers and highschoolers, most of them coming in with clueless parents that were just along for the ride.

I had kids coming up to my table and just gush about how talented I was for making everything there. I had cosplayers give me candi for recognizing who they were dressed up as. I had a group of kids linger at my table because one of the VA guests was shopping at another and they didn't want to crowd her and ruin her experience.

Legit, I could have cried.

There's some good in fandom, and it's worth fighting for.
