“Animus Vox” (voice of the soul)

Watercolor and metallic acrylic ink (gold and copper). Watercolor 300gsm paper. Mostly an experimental piece.

Tested my new Rigger brush , and I can’t believe it took me so long to think about buying one, making detailed lines in watercolor will be much easier from now on.

Thought process in the creation of this piece below, if you want to know the meanings and idea.

Animus vox -> voice of the soul

voice -> express yourself -> can’t speak

soul -> eyes are the window to the soul -> hidden

external pressure and expectation -> dark space

true self ->passion -> fire of the soul -> smoke

 reaching out  -> red string of fate -> red smoke + partly out of the dark space

just because I can -> gold ink contour :p
