"I think my soul is probably a rainbow growing wildflowers..."
@howtocreatehappy and I would make such a beautiful couple if we didn't like boys so much...
Post New Years night out selfies, I love these ♡♡♡ I have no New Years resolutions, I can't really. For the first time in my life an entire year is spread in front of me; completely blank. One big, exciting, thrilling, terrifying question mark. I know I will continue to grow into the person I'm meant to be, my own inner journey will continue as much as my geographical one and that's so exciting. I will continue to learn to "Let go & Trust"... As for New Years night itself, It was a mixed night, I dont like clubs very much (we went to a gay bar) and I wasn't drinking so the night had its ups and downs. There was some good dancing though and good laughs. Leo met a boi and I think I was more excited about it than him (til I got to hear about it all on the way home) ;). Plus I saw so many beautiful gay men that my ovaries were in a perpetual state of confusion. Stop reading now if you want to avoid a rant. ________________________________________________ The walk home was incredibly depressing, not least for the rain but because it was horrendous to see the people. Everyone out in the rain in tiny dresses, shoes in hand, some vomiting in the street, shoes being thrown around the place (we narrowly missed a rather stylish black slip on missile of unknown origin), crying, screaming, near fucking in the street, all kinds of drama and everyone crowded in and around fast food restaurants; the wrappers and contents of which were strewn around everywhere, mashed into the floor and blowing around. It was truly revolting, the state of the people too. I've never before witnessed such a volume of people without any apparent form of control or self respect. And goodness me do I sound like my mother.
Vegans after a night out...
I have done something very exciting and scary but I can’t tell you what yet…
My mumma and I watched The Boat That Rocked (fav film) and made gnomes :3 These babies are needle felted with wool from my mum's own sheep (not the coloured wool that was purchased :) ) Mine is the blue one and I called him Norman Gnome, he's going to come on adventures with me.
Hello world! Wow, loads to catch up on!
So about a week ago now (oh goodness, a week and a bit!) I packed my whole life into 8 boxes, a suitcase, a large bag, a yoga mat, a guitar case, a 65l rucksack, a 15l day pack and assorted other small bags. I then proceeded to pack the entirety of the aforementioned in my teeny tiny little flowery Toyota Yaris. Most impressive car jenga if I do say so myself. Then, after 3 and a half years, a degree and 2 years at my lovely job I left England and my beloved Farnham family and friends to temporarily reinstate myself at the family home in mid Wales.
Unfortunately my home being Mid Wales means I have no phone signal, no landline and no internet. I jest, that’s not normal. Normally we have no phone signal, a working phone line and struggling albeit generally functional internet. So today I’m sitting in a cafe in my nearest town (a good 20min drive away, I really am rural) to steal all the internets! Update: the cafe had a 45 minute WiFi limit so I resorted to Tesco...
It’s lovely being home, though it’s taking some adjusting for the whole family. Our home is very very small and not really suited for 4 adults which does lead to some stresses alongside disruption to routine for all of us.
The lack of internet does mean we’re all being super productive though! I’ve sorted all kinds of things, cleaned, cooked (pets, parents and my kitchen are my favourite things about home. In that order) some delightful things, watched movies with my mum (whilst making gnomes) and climbed a mountain with my dad (Cadair Idirs, means Idris’ Chair).
The next step starts on Monday. I’m going to be leaving on the 0730 train to London where I will change onto the Eurostar to France. I will arrive Strasbourg around 2000 so a long day in store! I will be couchsurfing the first night in order to meet at least one local before I start my CELTA! I’m really looking forward to being shown round the city (town? It has an airport it must be a city...) on Tuesday! I’m not reall nervous any more, I’ve been prepared for weeks and though aprehensive I’m generally calm and looking forward to the next adventure.
Love and light, A x
