sometimes i find the idea of dottore with someone whos so affectionate so funny in some way, like seriously it sounds so hilarious for someone like him to be with someone who gives so much affection. Whether that's physical touch, gifts, other ways of affection, or just all. It feels so funny when i think abt it lwky
You're very right anon, imagining someone like Il Dottore with a lover girl/boy as a partner is so.... Silly in the best way.
Like I don't think Dottore would be a cruel lover at all, but he's definitely not affectionate (at least at first) and his reputation is so terrifying that the idea that he, of all people, would not only have an affectionate partner but entertain one is so fun. It goes against everything people would imagine when they think of him.
Like imagine entering his laboratory and seeing The Doctor getting peppered in kisses or the presented a handmade gift..... Fucking insane I know his subordinates gossip about it in secret like it's some groundbreaking discovery.
I feel like Dottie would be very fond of an affectionate lover though :] he's been alone for centuries and while it takes a while to get used to it (or trust your motives, for that matter) he ends up very fond of all the affection you offer him; in fact I'd wager he ends up greedy for it.
