These were just some of the birds I was able to photograph this weekend. I like looking at how the maker attached the wing/s in relation to the body, how the tail feathers look, whether they have legs and feet, how the body of the bird is filled, whether with bigger glass beads like sprengperlen (or however it’s spelled 🤷🏽♀️) or with multiple rows of raised beads, where the eye sits in the bird or even if it was given an eye. And then I look at the use of color if any to make the bird. These are all things I look for when I’m checking out old pieces. There were tons of birds in my photos from this weekend.
