Here is a short list why nobady should go and see the Haunting Adeline movie, or support the author:
-The book is literally a Q anon fanfiction
-The plot literally involves a white man fighting ageinst a group of Jewish elits who drink the blood of (persumably Christian) babies. Basicly blood lible
-Change the blood drinking Jewish elits into latino men after being criticised. Still not a good look considering it taking place in the USA, the Qanon stuff, and what was there originaly
-Use of the G word, aka the racial slur ageinst Romani people
-The main guy's name is Zade. Zade is a name with Arabic origins. Giving an Arabic name to a white character. Combining this with the Q anon stuff, the blood lible, the anti latino stereotype, and the usage of a racial slur, this is not a good look
-The writer H. D. Carlton is a bully who has a history of sending threatening and nasty emails to other dark romance authers, telling them how they can and can’t market their book. She also claims that she owns certain phrases (as a bonus an another writer used it before her)
-A toxic fanbase (unsurpisingly made up of white Christian, American, zionist, cishet women) defending her. You point out the antisemetism. They defend it. You point out the racism, or the Q anon stuff. They defend it. You point out that she is an entitled bully? "Nobady is perfect" will be the response you will get.
Honestly? If the movie actually get's to being made, I hope that they raceband the main characters. Just to see H. D. Carlton (and her racist fanbase) have a meltdown over FMC being anything but a white woman, and MMC being an arab.
