I wanted to create this opportunity to let people share their top 3 fics by either hits or kudos, followed by top 3 fics by personal favorite (and share where they do or don’t line up!)

I will be doing top 3 by kudos!

1: Made Useful - This was my first fic I posted on AO3 and the first one I finished on AO3 too! This one did so much better than I expected, although in hindsight that's not such a surprise since I posted it during a large revival in the Jetra ship in the Minecraft Story Mode fandom, which was honestly pretty great. I didn't realize that was a mini revival until after the fact though lol

2: Weathering the Storm - This one also did better than I expected it to, especially since the Jetra ship was starting to die off a little again. It was mostly a concept I wanted to play around with, and now it's turned into a three-part series.

3: War of Hearts - This is my popular Legend of Zelda fic and I was a little surprised at that! Zelink has a lot of big writers for it and I'm ngl I was shocked at how many kudos it got XD

Now my top favorites!

❌ 1: Accidental Romeo and Uncertain Juliet - This is for a ship that is slightly less common, but I still think this is one of my best pieces of work yet. I feel like I got the emotions, the drama, everything written so well, and I've had a few people tell me it is one of the best oneshots I've ever put out!

✅ 2: Weathering the Storm - Okay, I just love this one. It was so much fun to write, and I love the concept to death. Plus, more Jetra, which is literally an OTP ship of mine. I do wanna go back and make an expanded version though, because I feel like I make it even better :D

❌ 3: Reversed Calamity - I had so much fun writing this--if you can't tell by now, I love the "reversed roles" type stuff, and playing with how things might turn out if a different character were in a different role and things like that. This one didn't get as much traction as I had hoped, but that's okay with me! It was still one of my favorite LoZ fics to write this far.

Honorable mention 1 (since I suck at picking favs with my writing): Into the Woods - This is a fantasy mcsm AU and I am absolutely obsessed with how it's turning out, as slowly as it's coming along. I am really dedicated to world building in this one and as a fantasy lover, it's very gratifying to write.

And honorable mention 2: Made Useful - Even though it is super popular, it's not my top favorite! I like to re-read this one from time to time, even though I wish I had improved my sentence structure a bit in places LOL. This was the first fic I had written for both MCSM and Jetra (my fav mcsm ship) since 2021 and it was the first one I had ever actually published.

So there we go! In my mind, kudos don't make the author, although they are definitely nice cause I love knowing people are seeing and reading my work! But I have some stuff I've never even published that I absolutely love to just re-read to myself

✨️ "Creative Endeavors" | Post Age of Calamity

A blue owl and a green serpent.

On the page Terrako presented to them, the two animals sat together alongside an egg decorated in... something. Perhaps gemstones?

All three of them were perched on a canopy of trees— or perhaps it was meant to be the castle? Both the sun and moon were out, as if time did not matter in the imaginary world the little guardian pictured.

The guardian waved the illustration up and down, presenting it to Link and Zelda as they sat on her bed.

"Oh, how cute!" Zelda beamed with pride. "Is that you, Terrako?"

It whistled gleefully.

"And who are your friends? I see..." Zelda pointed to the blue shape, "A bird, and..." She moved to the next, "A dragon?"

Terrako whirred. Though it began satisfied— sing-song, even— it soon flattened into a harsh note. It shook its body in protest and used one of its legs to tap the page.

"No?" She frowned. Her attention turned to Link.

"I didn't even know it could draw." Link mumbled. He was far too surprised to have formulated any other opinions on it, which just made him feel bad.

Terrako's body opened only to quickly shut— the closest the guardian could get to releasing an offended huff. It gestured to the picture, then to the two of them, then back again.

Link half-cluelessly pointed at himself. It took a moment for him to put the pieces together. "Oh! It's supposed to be... us?"

"Aw, how... creative! This is a wonderful first assignment!" Zelda chimed.

"Assignment?" Link repeated in a low whisper.

But Zelda didn't find any reason to keep it quiet. She specified, "I've been trying to find ways for Terrako to express its individuality. I started by giving it some utensils— and it's been quite the success!" She peered down to Terrako. "I certainly don't mind being a bird."

"I dunno..." Link teased. "Terrako, I think she'd make a better dragon than me."

Zelda faked offense with a gasp. "Now what's that supposed to mean?"

Terrako's offense, however, was not to be taken lightly. It boldly defended its artistic vision with a long series of fwoops and brrrs.

Or, at least, it was passionate about something.

Link frantically apologized, though Terrako couldn't quite hear over itself.

Zelda gently placed a hand atop the guardian, and it eased. "Terrako, I don't think he meant it harshly. Why, it's almost like you know something we don't!" It looked up at her. She continued. "Don't worry, I think we'd be the same either way. Besides— if Link would so please, he could join our little experiment, too. Would you mind that, hero?"

Link cleared his throat. "With all due respect to you artists, I think we'd all be better off if I wasn't trusted with your supplies..."

"No worries at all. We have plenty here in the castle. Isn't that right, Terrako?"

It agreed.

"And then we can see how much of a dragon expert Link really is, yes?"

It enthusiastically agreed.

"Well then, it's decided! Go on, Link. There's no wrong way! Show us your self-expression!"

Cutscene 01 - Exposition (WIP)

Happy late TotK Anniversary. 👁 I thought I'd post a sneak peek of the first cutscene, in progress, as I couldn't finish it in time.

An entire post on Level 0 - Prologue is soon to come! The rest of the cutscene storyboards need to be finished.

[ Zelda's boots are seen stepping through a dark cave. ]

Zelda: Thank you for coming to meet me here, Link.

[ Terrako is seen skittering behind. The screen focuses on Zelda's face, her name and title appearing below in reference to the BotW and TotK cutscenes. Her hair is styled in a braided updo, like her concept art for TotK. She smiles to the viewer (Link) before diverting her gaze to the ground. ]

Zelda: It's... been some time. I-

[ Terrako lets out a long "twoot" sound, interrupting Zelda and getting both her and Link's attention. They're revealed to be walking together, Zelda with a torch. ]

Zelda: While it's true Terrako and I have made significant progress...

[ Terrako excitedly bobs up and down, excited to be included this time around. ]

AU Synopsis

Some time after Age of Calamity, the remains of a corrupted little guardian drag themselves deep into the ground. It threatens to awaken something much sooner than anticipated, an ancient seal undone. Zelda, Link, and the Champions make a plan to investigate it themselves... but there is no way for them to prepare for the coming war of eras. Once again, the fabric of time may be torn apart - this time at the hands of the undead Demon King.
