April Bride (Hiroki Ryuichi, 2009)
young couple, one informs the other they have cancer. A terminal illness story with no surprises. Something i’d normally expect someone like Hiroki Ryuichi to make interesting and moving but look where we are.
Me walking down the aisle!
This was the best day of my life, as my family and friends get together to witness labisto - casilag nuptial.

Every tomorrow comes a miracle. Simply knowing that fills every day with joy.
Chie Nagashima, April Bride (2009)
ok. asian dramas are literally so perfect. why can't i have that? but without the inevitable death and destruction everywhere part..
the cutesy romantic parts make the dramatic, depressing parts hit you harder. I want to shout at Chie and Taro right now that they should enjoy their carefree love story while it lasts because things are going to go downhill so fucking fast. :c
the worst part about April Bride? it's based on a true story apparently. Don't quote me on that.
