It was supposed to be a quick run through the city. Mistress Archer wanted some information on this particular area, so he didn’t want to take too long. Unfortunately, it was difficult for Demarcus to find what exactly he was looking for in a place so densely packed with people. He decided to take a break and perhaps do some sight-seeing to clear his mind, since he was here.

He met eyes with a man close to the Washington monument. In that brief moment of the two looking at each other, Demarcus could sense a lot had happened to him. He couldn’t pick out any specific details by any means, but he could tell he was stressed out like he was and needed some time to calm down after whatever he had been through.

He wondered if this man could also see his stress through just a glance. A chill went up his back at the concept. He coughed to clear his throat and turned away, breaking the spell.
