no, petting is more important then being right.
yes.
"I don't wanna get up-- you're comfy."
Tenderness took an overwhelming eruption from the confines of Gray’s painfully tightened chest. His heartbeat had clearly picked up a quicker pace, as though something had been stimulated. His countenance was unquestionably flustered, and all fingers were subtly shaking uncontrollably, as if he’d been attempting to conceal his overbearing excitement and anxiousness. But, what was the cause of such a deportment? The most conceivable reasoning was regarding the brunette’s form alongside of, or rather overhead of his own, as they nonchalantly lounged on the couch within the comfort of his abode. Gray had lost count of how many times she’d taken it upon herself for an impromptu arrival on his doorstep; drunk, and vulnerable. Notwithstanding the many presentable opportunities to induce something interesting, he merely attempted to keep her tamed. She was prepossessing, even in this condition. But a comrade and friend nonetheless.
“Ya reek of friggin’ booze. That stench is intoxicating on it’s own, jeez. I gotta get up some time. At least let me move you over to the bed."
"Yeah, pretty much." She wasn't gonna lie there, this woman had a rack that rivaled even her own. "Can you really blame me~?"
"I can’t~." Hasn’t been the first time she’s been admired in such a manner, and not the first time by one of the same sex. And knowledge of this told her that it would far from be the last.
"They tend to cause some back pain, but I guess it is my price to pay. Do you think they’re too big~?”
"This is gonna sound really weird 'cause, y'know, we just met but- I think like you." And yes, she was sober, much to her surprise.
A single digit would trail her own lips as the other gave light to the confession, every fiber of the woman attentive to the words put forth. The corners of her lips curved, a smile quickly forming at the sweetness provided for her. And without cause or warning, arms shot out so as to claim the other as she pressed her in for a hug.
"It’s the boobs, isn’t it~?"
What was once a mountain of impossibly time consuming paperwork, now mimicked an explosion of confetti as the lot of it was tossed into the air at the mention of alcoholic endeavors. Mess or not, she'd would make sure to see to it when she was good and done.... maybe.
"You speak music to my ears~! Let's hurry, go go!!" Yes, swiftness was key... before it was discovered that she had, yet again, abandoned her work.
happy mother's day
What a calm day. So quiet and peaceful, unexpectedly pleasant and inappropriately nice. A part of him wished for rain, a flood of it, to make things more fitting for the grief that had bubbled up again, while another part wished for more sunshine, more happiness, because he figured that his love would simply shake her head at seeing him so far from wearing that usual smile of his. Sometimes he wondered how disappointed in him she'd be, or if she'd forgiven him. He would not blame her if she hadn't, since he had messed things up extravagantly in the past that he could never make up again.
So on that day, he took his time to acknowledge those things, to let them seep into every little crack if his being, rather than keeping them at bay. He allowed grief and pain to settle in, and visibly so, if only for a little while. The least he could do was to eventually pay his respects and visit a place he ought to have seen years ago. He stood at her grave, a colourful yet small and somewhat sloppy bouquet of flowers placed on the ground before him, all picked by himself, thus the messy look of it. "Happy mother's day, my love," he muttered, managing a small smirk. For her sake. "I'm sure you would be proud of her as I am of both of you." As proud a father and husband as he could be, of course. And as proud as they deserved him to feel for all that he had ruined that they still struggled through.
