“Oh yes let’s have the short tempered, grudge holding turtle lose an eye. People will definitely pick up what we’re hinting at”—TMNT writers, not realizing that I am a dumbass.
🟣 20 Fun Facts About Donatello (Archie TMNT Edition) 🟣
Archie Donatello from TMNT Adventures stands out as one of the most thoughtful versions of Donnie. Intelligent, kind, and compassionate. Here are 20 fun facts celebrating a Turtle who thinks deeply, feels deeply, and always strives to do the right thing 💜
1. He's canonically almost a pacifist, detesting every moment he has to use violence, making him the gentlest fighter.
2. He is described as having a pure heart and soul, allowing him to pass through the Netherworld unharmed, reflecting his non-violent and compassionate character.
3. Donatello was chosen by a group of aliens known as the Sons of Silence to receive their wisdom and communicate with them telepathically.
4. His inventions end up making his future self a billionaire through a company called Turtleco.
5. Future Donatello's design notably features him in a stylish fedora and purple jacket, reflecting his sophisticated billionaire inventor lifestyle.
6. Donatello is generally the calmest, most gentle, and peaceful of the four, rarely losing his temper. This sets him apart from Leonardo's disciplined combat focus, Raphael's hot-tempered aggression, and even Michelangelo's more lighthearted but action-oriented vibe.
7. Donatello is consistently portrayed as the most cerebral and introspective of the four turtles. He is calm, rational, and often serves as the voice of reason within the team.
8. Donatello saved a kidnapped jungle boy named Emur from a giant armored worm, earning the respect of a group of Amazons in the Hollow Earth.
9. He once won an intergalactic wrestling match against his brothers on Stump Asteroid, and then went on to defeat the wrestler El Mysterio.
10. He's supportive of other teams, like providing tech for the Mighty Mutanimals.
11. He created battle suits (armor) for himself and his brothers in the future.
12. Unlike some other versions, he generally has a very close and mellow relationship with his brothers, rarely engaging in major confrontations or arguments.
13. Despite his intelligence, he maintains a calm and humble demeanor.
14. In a time-travel adventure to 1492 (issue #40), Donatello's compassionate character motivates him to defend indigenous people from raids, despite the outcome.
15. Donatello is deeply empathetic, showing genuine compassion even toward his enemies, believing that understanding their struggles is more meaningful than defeating them.
16. Donatello mourns Slash's heroic sacrifice, showing sympathy for the redeemed enemy.
17. Donnie's compassion shines when he reprograms Verminator X's brain to restore the kind-hearted Manx personality, redeeming a cyborg enemy instead of destroying him.
18. His desire for peace and knowledge was a core aspect of his character throughout the series.
19. While the Archie TMNT Adventures Donatello looked like his 1987 cartoon self, he developed a unique, deeply philosophical personality in the comics' original stories. He became the team's true moral compass and was an almost complete pacifist who detested using violence.
20. Donatello was the favorite turtle of co-creator Peter Laird, which influenced his personality development.
Though the Archie TMNT Adventures series is sometimes overlooked, its portrayal of Donatello has had a lasting influence.
Overall, this version of Donatello is a smart, kind-hearted guy who uses brains and heart to solve problems instead of just fighting.
That’s it for my little collection of Archie Donatello facts. Writing this was fun, but knowing someone out there read it makes it even better. Thanks for reading and being part of this little moment. You’re all iconic for reading this 🫶

7. What version of Michelangelo is your favorite?
Well, first of all there’s the Archie version! I absolutely love him! He maintains his positivity and good heart through every situation. Hell even after getting blinded by a molotov cocktail, crashing into the ocean in a plane, and getting captured and tortured by the government, he still finds it in his heart to save the person from drowning who had been giving him the torture. Oh, and his future version is an artist and runs an orphanage!
And, of course, I can’t forget my precious 2k3 Mikey! I don’t really need to explain why I love him, though!
"Nothing will ever change how much you mean to me. Not time, or space, or being worlds apart."
This is basically the perfect summary of how the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise shows love to fans of all its iterations, and how the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise could learn to do so instead of constantly trying brand unity. Note, I didn’t write these, I just screenshot them.
