I do not see anything wrong with the Chinese fans support project

You can't want George to grow yet be picky about the support, instead be grateful someone actually does it better, wants to do it, put the plan to work, and has good resources while they're at it.

Like at this stage of growing popularity for George Russell, you cannot be fucking picky on the support you accept. In fact, it would be such a waste if he missed a "golden time" like this. Every effort shall be appreciated. To love is to be loud. To love comes in many ways. I see a lot of them being proper fans who do proper data when talking and understand the races. Just because the support was "unusual" doesn't mean it's kpopification. The usage of LED Trucks and Adbikes are pretty normal in non-kpop adverts. There is nothing wrong with it.

George's popularity is not going to go up by itself especially when relying on his own management and Mercedes' stints. If someone would and could help him, why not accept it with open arms? I don't see why these so-called "kpop" physical support is deemed bad when "K-pop" itself has gone worldwide due to the same physical fan support than any other regional music industries of South Korea's neighbouring country.

Let us not fold to the "male standards" of F1 support. Support is support. Why can men go overboard with their World Cup support but a group of chinese fans, who are predominantly women, can't and got called "kpopifying F1"? Girl, men go over the top with football as hooligans/ultras but no one called them "anarchyifying" football.

People love to talk and yap "I'm an engineer. I know-" NO YOU DON'T.

There is a difference between profession and being competitive. While the skillset might be similar, the psychological and physical aspect is different.

Profession can drain you out. But competition can BREAK you. Especially a weekly one where pressure is just stacked on you 24/7.

To heal from a job, you can shut your laptop and go home. But to heal from a competition, sometimes it takes a lifetime or it changes the way you see things operate. That's why it is very important for competitive people to take a break. Complete break. Nothing at all.

It is ultimately stupid to think that one's skills will disappear or they will be left behind just because they miss a day of test or exercise. Skills and talents DO NOT disappear in a day. Even if you have a mental block that stops you, it will still be there. It is ingrained in their nerves, muscles, and brain.

George Russell will not lose 5 tenths just because he decide to sunbathe instead of sitting on the simulator. Talking about simulator, mf has been sitting there since fucking 2016. Back in 2018, he did a live with F2 and just from that he KNOWS who is going to win. Red Bull. Daniel Ricciardo. He literally said Mercedes might not have the strongest performance in Monaco. If anything, that guy has known everything about a fucking simulator than some person on twitter dot com claiming to be an engineer or what not. -> oh and just so you know, engineering have 10283377 branches and sub branches, just because you are one doesn't mean you ultimately know everything.

Don't compare competitions to what your daily 9 to 5 does. The stakes are different. You might get paid a select amount of euros every month, get bonuses here and there, feel satisfied but some competitive people hang on to achievements and result, regardless of how much they got paid, to feel sane. That's the reason why they need therapy at times because they do get affected by it so bad.

Also lastly? Whether you are an engineer or whatever, fuck off man. Let these people do their job on a competitive stage. Everyone has a different winning formula. What you think works on your 9 to 5 might not work at a competition. Try going to one I dare you actually. Do experience it first before talking. Stop microanalyzing and advising what these athletes should do, they have engineering experts, performance coaches, and more other experts on their side. If you want to analyze, do it without jumping into conclusion and judging. We know NOTHING. NOTHING.

Have you seen athletes whose career goes south because people interfered so much? Yeah. Sit your ass down.

Mercedes Benz is the type of corporation who would risk manage under the table by shutting people off than coming clean and transparent about things because they prioritize family and peace image.

But let me tell you what happens when we keep risk management that way — the mistakes don't disappear, they pile up under the table and one day, it fucking explode on their faces (e.g. emailgate).

There is one thinking error (?) from their side that I've always noticed. These guys label every bit of things that are against them on the public as a bad thing. They keep obsessing over a clean picture perfect family corporate image. No cracks. No whatever. Just hiding behind obliviousness and nonchalant.

Little did they know? The audience is not a fucking idiot to see what's behind the curtain in this day and age of digitalization where you can dig for stuff. But they keep doing it anyways! Because all that matters to them is their spotless clean silver star and not the problems they are stuffing under their asses.

Mark my words, keep doing this and one day we'll see something bad (maybe not emailgate 2.0) happen to them because all they do is suppress George and his dissatisfaction over and over again.

I have never been worried about Mercedes exploding or leaving George, but I do worry for Mercedes when George decides to explode in their faces. A man who has been there for 10+ years and the only junior from the past that has been sitting closely with the top management of both sides since the beginning 100% knows some real deep shit (esp since his own management contract is shady and borderline questionable within legal boundaries).

George has had extreme patience all these times and as much as kind-hearted a person is, they'd explode one day from all the shit they have to smile through. Mercedes should be careful and should reflect how they approach problems if they want to stay within the top of the industry, with all these new brands rising and them declining or just stagnating.

There is a reason why I moved here and freely talk about the speculations/theories/boards here and that is privacy and building a wall so they do not see. Why? Because it is not our position to interfere. I can read the strategy however I want but if I use it or publicize them, I might set myself or George up for everyone to see.

The world (esp on social media) is a lot smaller than you think. I once posted a long explanation on why the AMG C 63 S E is being re-promoted and not selling well, guess who fucking found the post? A certain division head within the PR team of AMG who have been with the team for 12 years. Even though they said that my post is accurate, spot on, and gives nice explanation, it doesn't give me any nice feelings for such thought pieces to reach them. I prefer to keep them within certain apps and boundaries. I was also oomf with George helmet and web designer back on twt and also a mechanic who was part of George's garage.

The world is smaller than we think it is guys. There are several things, that if it is just speculative and has no grounds, then it should not be discussed with such people involved. We need to know our position and not interfere. Let the people involved do their work and politics. It is not our job to even advise and butt in at the very slightest.

You know there was once a time in 2023 where the fans who was already there thought that changing Riki to Marcus is a mistake.

Marcus in 2023 made some questionable decisions (cough cough Zandvoort 2023 cough cough) and oh... I can say it's bad because I feel like we got mad at him often and say we want Riki back.

In the end, I feel like Marcus and George have grown so much in their relationship and have become a great driver-race engineer synergy. Marcus understands George's needs, wants, communication dynamics, and even... inside jokes (matched each other's freaks).

There was once a time where Marcus was just really stiff and we all felt frustrated. Maybe even George himself. But that's just how it is. That's just how relationship dynamics are at work. That's how they grow. You can't expect a smooth start. Heck, you can't even expect a smooth sailing relationship 24/7. There are bound to be rocky roads. In the professional world, unless your daddy owns the company or you are omnipotent, you can't expect to have everything you want. You'd have to adapt and adjust.

I disagree heavily with the motion that George should have Bono or Riki or whatever. George works well with Marcus and if he had a problem with Marcus, he has the authority to ask for a change. George is an adult, a very well and out spoken one. If he knew something was wrong and they'd not get along well, he'd demand a change.

Marcus or every other engineer is not invisible. George has spoken out numerous times that there are times that engineers do not understand what the drivers feels like inside the car because they are not the one experiencing it (ref: the ground effect porpoising case) and the drivers also sometimes don't understand the engineers because they don't have the data in front of them.

With these challenges, mistakes will be made. Heck, at work, mistakes will always happen! Mistakes are not to be excused but can be an outlet to learn from. It doesn't matter if there is an engineer from MIT/Stanford/Oxford/Tsinghua/UCB/etc, they will make mistake. Even RBR engineers make mistakes in their perfect 2023 year. Even the professional senior ones like Shov or JV make one.

While you cannot excuse mistakes, you can also NEVER expect people to always be flawless at their job. My professor always says “do not avoid mistakes, minimize them”. If you still think that these engineers can't make mistakes, let me reverse the question to you: who are you? You are not a God (even God makes mistakes). You are no one. You make mistakes too in life and work. Humble yourself. Even if there is no accidental or intentional mistake, there is bound to be a mistake caused by a fallacy. But that's life! That's just how it is. If you don't make mistakes, you don't learn. If you don't make mistakes, you are no longer a living human being.

So stop all these talks on Marcus shouldn't be George's race engineer and we should have others. Marcus has improved massively and done his job in listening, accomodating, and communicating with George brilliantly. Mistakes happen and George can set that straight with his team. But we are NO ONE to say that Marcus shouldn't be George's race engineer. He is qualified. He is a good one. Stop comparing engineers and professionals, Bono/Riki/other professional engineers was once in Marcus' position and level before.

I feel a bit disgusted(?), infuriated(?) about how some people still complained about how China celebrated Zhou during Chinese GP and made a special spot for his car after the race?

First of all, the ceremony isn't that big that it overshadows the winner. The race still happens as it is. The crowd still hype the drivers and the winners/podium seaters. No spotlight was taken. It is still a normal GP and throughout the week, they didn't make it like a "ZHOU GUANYU GP"

Second of all, it is NOT about Zhou's achievement in F1. It is about how China WANTS to appreciate Zhou as the first Chinese citizen to make it into Formula One. It is not about him finishing P1 or P100. It is about him MAKING IT IN. "Oh but Zhou used sponsors to get in-" so did 102738373 drivers before him, in which some of them still stayed several seasons without scoring a point. Why is a "sponsor-backed" driver now only becoming a problem once it's Zhou? Stop acting like F1 is not a money motivated sport. Zhou can get whatever sponsor he wants but he also WORKED HARD and on behalf of his country, he made it in. Regardless of where he placed in the race, he fucking made it and that's whats matter.

The people in China and the young aspiring kids from China have their FULL RIGHTS to celebrate their home hero in their home race. You don't have to win 100 trophies to deserve appreciation. Zhou Guanyu may not be your hero. But he is someone's hero out there because he made it. Because he proved to those kids that SOMEONE from China can also be an F1 driver.

Lastly, if you think it's still weird for a country to do all that, i'm sorry that your country is so shit at respecting and appreciating its citizens' achievements.
