Wanted to take a break a while ago and painted some scenery concepts for a fantasy world of mine as I was listening to the Yatagarasu ost (good anime, recommend!)

(The story I'm really excited for but the rewriting it is paiiiin - it's good! ...but paiiiin - why can't the words just appear on the paper and skip the writing part..."orz)

The whole world is a floating landmass staggered over several tiers, so they don't have a sea filled with water: they have a sea filled with clouds and if you fall off the edge you plummet into the abyss. <3

warmup sketch: OC I've had for a long time called Vayua, a wind spirit...then recently I learnt Vayu is the name of a Hindi God of the winds which is - the coincidence! But also the name was reached completely independently oi swear T^T It's based on a conlang of mine where the name means: (Transient - light bringer - joining together - the void/vessels/light (ua conjoined means spirits)). She also has a spirit name Fahar (air - lightbringer - breathe - power) but generally mortals can't utter Origin names...
