My first pride parade in Orlando and it was WONDERFUL! SOOOOOO SO SO MUCH love in this crowd and the amount of people marching was incredible. I even saw Stephanie (ElloSteph) and ARIELLE FUCKING SCARCELLA (the white hat and overalls on the float, duh!)

I’m so proud of my city and what they have done. Heard it was nearly twice as big as last years so I can only imagine other’s reaction who have been before when the turnout was that large.

What’s New & Qute at LGBTQutie

You might’ve noticed by now that there’s a ton of new and fun things happening at LGBTQutie. With so much good LGBTQ-centric stuff we wanted to make sure you didn’t miss a gay beat.

As you well know, our app launched in early March, but on April 21 we officially released our hard launch – meaning the bugs have been ironed out, cleaned up, and polished. And yes, while we still have our landing page (where you can read this lovely blog) online, we’re entirely mobile now. Instead of a dating site we’re the relationship app, and we’re available on iOS and Android! We’re pretty excited about it!

And, we’re not the only ones! Maybe you’ve heard of YouTube starlettes’ Bria and Chrissy? Well, they’re pretty damn stoked for it too! On April 27 they premiered “Lesbian Fantasy.” Though they played out every lezzies fantasy of falling madly in love and uhauling, they suggest finding the real thing at – you guessed it – LGBTQutie.

Lez YouTuber and comic, Arielle Scarcella says she appreciates the diversity of the queer community and that’s what she loves about LGBTQutie – the diversity. This is a dating app for everyone standing (or sitting or lying) under this brilliant rainbow umbrella. Unlike most other apps we really want the entire q-mmunity here, because – as we like to say – we’re more than a dating app. Life’s hard, and as we graduate from high school/college/grad school it gets harder and harder to meet and make like-minded friends. Just like it’s harder to meet people worthy of your love. We’re here to build all sorts of important, long-term bonds for all queers.

In fact, our approach is so unique, Queerty and Tagg Magazine have also been singing our praises. “The app allows you to narrow down what you’re looking for based on sexual orientations and gender identities,” explains Queerty. “LGBTQutie goes beyond LGBT to include pansexual, asexual, queer, non-binary and intersex individuals. People can express themselves however they wish to find a mate.”

Obviously, we’ve been celebrating!

The day after our hard launch, we partied with the best of Austin, TX quties. We raffled off gift certificates to Package Menswear and Q Toys, plus a weekend pass to Plezzure Island. And last Thursday we did it again in our home city, New York.

QutieLicious was  a Thursday night happy hour at the legendary Stonewall Inn. We raffled away tickets to the amazing Broadway play, Fun Home. To help support our community, proceeds were donated to Princess Janae Place, which is supportive housing organization for homeless trans adults. And we were pretty jazzed to have Lena Mae’s Gourmet’s Rum Passion Lolly’s on hand!

Lastly (for now), we had so much fun in Austin, we’re swinging through again for Sleeq Production’s new monthly party, Goddess. Happening on May 27, this party offers the (grrls and allies of the) LGBTQ community a place to spend a lovely upscale evening. We also think it’s a great place to meet those quties face to face.
