There's a reason why The Devil's Minion chapter in ‘Queen of the Damned’ is so iconic. It's so good it made Anne Rice realize Armand wasn't "evil".

The author and creator of this character made him a "villain" in the first two books.

And she was planning on having him play an active role in the third book.

That was until she began writing through Daniel's perspective. That was when she realized he wasn't a "villain"... he was something else.

The real tragedy was... that Anne never explored it further even if she truly wanted to.

... but we still got the iconic chapter that changed it all.
