2025/05 VS
Honestly drawing frequently after my long hiatus has been amazing. I've finally slipped back into my style and feel comfortable again. Shook off most of the rust, so I'm redrawing a few things from the start of me becoming active again in August for comparison.
Everyone's comments that point out little things they love about my artstyle (and my pointy eyes which I've grown to adore after years of being dubious about how i draw eyes 😅) are so special to me and give me life.
Like look at this difference, the first one I like, of course, but the second one just feels so much more alive to me and so much more natural looking, there's like a stiffness I can't quite describe to the earlier stuff from my foray back into the world of drawing.

My art progress this year!
I still seem to be infatuated with my own characters and really bright colors, who would have guessed.
Lot of nice things happened this year as well as being the most stressful year I can remember. I learned how to do simple animation and some 3D modeling (never again). My computer was completely broken for a month of this year. I went back to therapy and went to a psychologist for the first time in years, found out I have a few mental issues I plan to work on. I began writing all my ideas down for a speculative alternate universe and got to share them with people!
Some of the more notable things I’v done this year is won a discord art competition in April. I taught myself how to make simple looping gifs in June with my own art. I made my fantroll discord server in July. In August I switched art programs from Photoshop CC13 to Clip Studio Paint. In September I entered my second year of college in the digital media department and did my first art stream! In November me and my significant other celebrated our 4th year together!
All in all 2019 was a real bumpy ride but a lot of great things happened! I can never tell what the future holds but I hope 2020 will be nice! No longer a teenager I must function as an actual adult, oh boy! ( ⚆ _ ⚆; )
