Wow, what a weekend! 28 hours on the road was worth every second, @artistssimplyhuman Tysons Corner was an incredible experience! I'm so excited to have been awarded Apprentice! If you want something bad enough and work for it, it WILL happen.

I just wanted to say I’m taking charge of my life finally. I’ve decided to commit myself for the next couple of years to creating art and pursue a job in animation or character design. This is something I’ve been forcing myself to practice every day and to be honest its by far the longest standing practice I’ve ever had. Its extremely hard, exhausting, scary but its extremely rewarding. I have so many ideas of what I’d like to do with my art and I’ve already improved greatly within the 3 months that I’ve committed myself to learning! I’ve been pretty scared lately because I’ve been thinking thats its “too late” for me but I just came across some great advice.

"The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second-best time is now."

So I could spend the next couple years unsure of what I should do or working my butt off in something I’m not sure about or I could just give my heart a chance. Truly steer my life in the direction I want. If theres anything I could do in my life I’d love to leave people with stories and art and make people feel happy. I want to be happy. This makes me happy and the challenge is neverending. I love it.

Ive never learned to draw until now that I’ve seriously committed myself to learning 3 months ago and this is how far I’ve gotten already. I’m really proud of myself and am excited to push myself harder. Follow me in my art journey on my insta @jennylynncreates
