Had some more Taako ideas since the zine and wanted to draw a little bit of them! I'm currently having to rework my Taako cosplay, so I incorporated a bit if that in there, too. Quick and messy.
Drew a Phasmo Grian! Nothing super official, just wanted to get some ideas out and do a little bit of drawing!
Originally I was going to finish all these up and make them look nice. However, unfortunately, due to recent happenings, I have slowly run out of steam on quite a many things, and drawing is one of them.
So, instead, I will talk about them and say listen. Grabbing GIGG, i guess specifically @geminitayyt. I literally did two zines for DND podcasts last year. I worked with a Life Series based ttrpg project as an artist. These aren't good art examples but like PLEASE this is RIGHT IN MY NICHE AREA PLEASE LEMME GET MY GRUBBY LITTLE HANDS ON THESE DESIGNS I PROMMY I HAVE CHEAP COMMISSIONS /dramatic /hj. anyways onto the thoughts and initial, rushed designs
Ruby Nyx
Okay so I think with lighter purple skin and red hair, reds, magentas, and purples would look really really nice, with gold as a nice accent. Though, for a more desaturated color palette, they can be brought closer to dulls and have a silver accent. Think thonks
HORNS horn shape can be so so fun for her go wild go wacky i could totally see her with some like. spiral horned antelope horns. but also the jewelry??? with the gold in the horns??? gorg. I gave her some typical bull type horns to really accent some hanging jewelry she could have from the horns.
NOSES okay lets be clear, and this will be shown along this post, i think about the shapes of noses more than a lot of people but i just have fun drawing them. Anyways i think Ruby deserves something big and bold for her nose. I couldnt draw it well in a rush but the second nose on that list would do so well on her. statement piece. gorg.
GOTH okay i know she said goth-y or goth-ish but listen. Trad goth makeup.
Broghini Dudestone
color wise im thinking reds tbh. I know everyone has grian with reds and impulse with yellows but i switched them. i think warm tones for the dwarf would look good. earthy.
big square build. strongman build. square face to match. strong noses too, something big and angular and defined.
I went for a warmer jerkin sort of look but could change it for a full tabard, make him look a little more soldiery
Max Blunder
Drawing wise this is where i lost some steam and yet i have so many thoughts
I made him yellow, but specifically with a vary varied color palette to give it a more circus/carnival vibe
I also added a bunch of diamond motifs to sorta lean jester-y. I wanted to do the whole pants but the rush absolutely wouldnt let me. I want to draw this concept
round face. round cheeks. round button nose. very hobbit like, but contrasting a bit against the build. lean but rectangular, angles of a goliath fighting against the rounds of a halfling
markings on his face like water?
bells and dangles for a performer vibe
also consider. cleric of Apollo??? God of medicine and healing, but also of music and the arts??? perfect
Mr Wizard
right off the bat. gave him an open shirt. we all know why. moving on
i was thinking a lot of green-y tones with a contrasting red-y brown?
big and flowy, something dramatic and eyecatching.
a lot pointier in terms of features. Nose, cheek, chin, etc.
if i got to draw more, I could imagine a lot more dangly bits like tassels and chains and jewelry to really sell the fanciful, well traveled man with many stories and things to sell
thank you for coming to my ted talk. im going to go hit random tuning forks until i find my resonant frequency long enough to get energy to draw again.
Attack for @shepscapades! Been a huge fan of the DBHC au for so long now, I'm glad I got to draw something!

Thank you so much to @taz-balance-zine for the wonderful experience of being able to work on such an amazing zine with such wonderful people! I had an amazing time working on this and getting to work on a piece for a podcast so near and dear to me! I had a lot of fun making this, feel like I've improved in certain aspects, and even got a couple of my friends into the podcast! Thank you so much for the opportunity! ID: A drawing in a frame. The painting is of Magic Brian standing in a cave in front of a pit, Bryan the spider behind him. Along the frame are the Bureau of Balance symbols and carvings of the voidfish. In the corners are portraits of Taako, Magnus, Merle, and Killian.
