Potential subthemes include (but are not limited to): – Speculations about dark matter and the mysteries of our universe. – Dark matter as a social metaphor for conversations around critical race theory, social justice and the climate emergency. – The future of science, technology, and life on Earth and whether we imagine a better world or not. – First Peoples knowledges and their contributions to our understanding of the universe. ℹ️ The open call is extended to everyone, from every level of experience, discipline and culture. Dorota Gaweda and Egle Kulbokaite win Collide residency award

Polish artist Dorota Gawęda and Lithuanian artist Eglė Kulbokaitė, a duo based in Basel, Switzerland, have been selected as the winners of this year’s edition of the Collide award alongside three Honorary Mentions.

View of Symmetry — Collision of Arts and Sciences for a New Dimension

A collaborative paper has recently been written about the filmproject SYMMETRY invited by CAET, a creative arts education and therapy journal. With contributions by physicist & systems theorist Fritjof Capra, professor Cheng Yang, choreographer Jenny Zhou, biomedical scientist Tony Zhou and filmmaker Ruben Van Leer.

The project has reached far interest to China, further and back, strengthening the dialogue between science & art. Capra's book The Tao of Physics as been an inspiration for writing the film Symmetry, which makes this paper a beautiful conclusion of the work.
