If there are only 2 genders:Female & Male

And 2 sexualities; Heterosexuality and Homosexuality..

What are the people like pan,bi,aspec.. bigender,non binary,agender.. ?

What are we? Are we ghosts?Like..world's stereotype thinks,that everyone wants to f*ck everything?Either man woman or man man?

And if someone doesn't feel like boy or girl,they have to choose their birth sex or the opposite sex? They cannot the between,both or neither?

So,if there are only 2 genders and 2 sexualities,when people who aren't cis or FtM/MtF and aren't homo or straight kill someone,police won't arrest them,cause they don't exist or would that murder be investigated like paranormal activity?

I don’t know if other sexualities feel this but I honestly hate myself and my sexuality. If I could choose not being asexual I would, not because there’s a problem with it but because I always feel disconnected from others. Sexuality is so huge in our culture so when people go on to talk about sex and who’s banging who and what your fantasies or dreams are etc., etc. I can never connected. I can laugh and joke with my friends about it but at the end of the day I will never know what it’s like. It’s the saying “standing on the outside looking in” except I will never be able to be on the inside.

I also can’t date people because ingrained in our minds is that sex is needed for a healthy relationship, and I can take the stinging rejection of when I tell someone I really like that I’ll never want to have sex and they decide that I’m a freak and doesn’t want anything to do with me. I keep seeing people get into relationships and are getting married and I want that so bad, but I have learned that most people want the romance with the sex and I don’t want both.

And yeah there are other asexual people out there, but our numbers are few and far between which becomes even more limited when someone of us can’t come outright and say we’re asexual because we’re still being told that our sexuality isn’t real, that it’s made up or that we’re freaks of nature. So I’m left with the idea that I will never have what other people have because of what I am. So yeah at times I really hate my asexuality.

Hey fellow aces!

Recently I read a book, Tell the Wolves I'm Home by Carol Rifka Brunt.

Just saying, for those looking for a book with ace or aro ace protagonists, this one doesn't really discuss asexuality, but the protagonist is implicitly ace. It takes place in 1987, so obviously there's no word for it, but she discusses in detail why she thinks love doesn't require sex, 'why cant two people live together and appreciate eachother without mashing genitalia' basically. And the people she call her 'first loves' are actually strictly platonic. No romance. Just intense friends like woah bonded besties.

The book does handle AIDS and homosexuality, and is easily one of the best and brightest and most beautiful book I've read in a long time. I would go so far as to call it the best of the decade.

The prose is realistic and relatable, yet poetic, without waxing poetic,and it's worth checking out regardless of the aro ace thing. You guys in the tag have a mighty need.
