Afraid to say that the puddle is fully capable of handling himself if that’s what he wants.

Ashes looks at the ask for a second more. They know Jonny doesn’t like feeling pitied, and that he’ll eventually sort things out in his own way (similar to how plenty others on the ship do anyways). They hadn’t seen Jonny since he’d left their quarters; a bit lighter, but who knows if that’s from the company or the smoking.

Ashes decides that it had been a bit, and it wouldn’t be a bad idea to check in.

They check a few places before eventually finding Jonny. They knock lightly on the doorframe, waiting for a response.

First things first, did you have a good year?

Honestly overall yes, it was a big year for me and while I've struggled with a lot it's been a year where I've grown and realized that I am stronger than I give me credit for. No year's gonna be perfect but this year has been the best I've had in a long time.

How old did you turn this year?

21!

Do you feel your age?

Not at all, honestly I'll probably feel like a kid most of my life 😂 I'm an adult child with @theforestofeve as my supervision forever (ily baby thanks for putting up with me)

Did your appearance change in anyway?

Yes! I had cut my hair last year however at the start of this one I ended up shaving the sides and back! I've also gained a bit more muscle which is nice.

If you traveled, where did you go?

Didn't travel too far but I did stay at this cute Lil apartment when my girlfriend came to visit! It was on the outskirts of Chicago.

Which fashion trends did you love?/Which fashion trends did you hate?

I'm not going to lie I don't really keep up with fashion Trends 😅

What song sums up this year for you?

Oooh this is a hard one... I'd probably have to say the song Rise from League of Legends tbh. The lyrics kinda relate to what I've gone through this year

What album came out and has been on heavy rotation since then?

A few of them but the first that came to mind was Nine by Blink 182. Absolutely love that one.

What was your favorite movie of the year?

Bc I'm genuinely a child at heart How to train your dragon 3 because I love that series and as much as ik it gets shit for "not being as good" as the others I thought it was beautiful. But also John Wick was fantastic

Did an actor/actress catch your attention for the first time this year?

Not really no, most of the ones that I'm still crazy over I have been for a while. I don't think I'm out there in social media or watching things enough to discover more people lol.

Uhhh...do hats count? Bc I have a favorite hat. If you want to know like actual clothing though I'd probably sayyyyy my MCR black parade tank top. I wear it religiously.

My headcanon is that back when they were friends, Wily and Light would have those nights where you just stay up to like 3am laughing abut shit with your friends and nothing you've said the past few hours has actually been funny but you're both just sleep deprived so everything seems hilarious.

OH ABSOLUTELY OMG!! They likely both stayed up too late while working on projects, schoolwork, etc., fueled by too much caffeine and stupid competitions to see who could stay up longer

Right, so. I've got some papers for you. For... wherever the fuck you keep all our semi-"legal" paperwork.

*He shoves the papers at them without fanfare and taps his feet, clearly ready to book it. Looks to be... divorce papers? Filled out, in the Toy Soldier's uncannily neat print handwriting and Jonny's own messy scrawl.*

*Jonny, for his part, is about ready to launch himself into space. He just knows Ashes is going to make fun of him for this, considerin' he was sure he saw bets being made during the wedding... and especially since that was only two days ago.*

Ashes takes the papers and looks them over before looking back up at Jonny with an amused expression.

Trouble in paradise?

They tap the papers on a nearby surface to straighten them out, before tossing them somewhere
