Parex question: is Obi-Wan still alive? If so, is he part of the hive or does he have a different role? Also, have we heard about how and where the sith are in all of this (other than gleefully cackling over jango's aims lol)?
Obi-Wan is, in fact, still alive (yay!) but he is unfortunately locked in Jango's torture basement and has been for the last eleven years (boo...). As you might expect, he's not doing super good. Besides the being tortured thing and the being locked up in Jango's basement thing and the solitary confinement thing, he's also had one of his feet chopped off so he can't escape so that also sucks.
By the time the story starts (and honestly for a lot of years before that) Obi-Wan basically spends most of the day in a sort of Force coma hanging out with the obi-collective hive mind. He's not exactly part of the hive mind the way the obi-clones are--all the obi-clones are telepathically linked and can freely access each other's thoughts and memories, while Obi-Wan's connection to all of them is one-way, as in he can access their minds and share their senses and even possess them while the obi-clones can't access anything from Obi-Wan that he doesn't explicitly share. Because of this, the obi-clones actually don't find out until the events of parex (so like. eleven whole years) that Obi-Wan is a real alive person who's being held prisoner in Jango's basement. Obi-Wan basically uses his obi-clones scattered throughout the empire to get a grasp of all the things going on out there and make plans to destroy the empire and try to coordinate his obi-clones to do what they need to, but...the obi-clones don't actually have to listen to him if they don't want to. Despite being the reason the obi-clone hive mind exists, Obi-Wan can't actually control his clone sons (besides possessing them) or command them, except by the fact that they respect him for raising them via psychic skype.
(even trapped in a torture dungeon for eleven years obi-wan is a better clone dad than jango)
Anyways, the Sith are kind of just sirs not appearing in this story. Ventress and Dooku are part of the Mandalorian Empire but they're not really Sith, they just love murder (like all the mandos). Palpatine probably gets a brief mention as being Padme's mentor at some point but he's not around, probably dead. This show is all Jango and his personal problems ruining everything and trying to explode all the Jedi out of existence on his own.
