Where can I read the english translations on mangadex? i can only see the Brazilian Portuguese translations. sorry for the question, I just couldn't find it

Mangadex got hit with a MASSIVE DMCA yesterday, and a couple hundred series got struck down. Among them were PokeSpe XY, SM, and SWSH. Technically the main PokeSpe line was left untouched, but the English scanlations for that hadn't been updated since, I think the beginning of XY?

Thankfully SV survived, at least. If you wanna read the older stuff online, weebcentral is your best bet, but that uses the official Viz version and so only goes up to ORAS.

Hi! Could I ask if you know if there's a scanned version of the pokespedia on the internet anywhere? I'm this close to getting a copy myself ...

There are bits and pieces all over the 'net. I...don't remember if I ever saved or reblogged the pages here on tumblr, so sorry on that front. I might be able to find a few pieces, but...

(I'm kinda miffed Viz never brought it over.)

If you're not strapped for cash, go get it. Book looks pretty hefty and anything to support a series that gets almost zero merch.

I find it funny (affectionate) that Kusaka and Yamamoto are going to Italy even tho they're barely halfway in sv. Bros just going on vacation in the middle of work lmao (just like me fr)

It's not a vacation. They were invited to a convention and they're still expected to keep up with the regular monthly update. If anything that piles more work on them.

Back during SM they were making multiple international trips and they still didn't take any time off.

Spring next year? Huh, is it normal to announce stuff this ahead of time? (I do not remember when they announced for SWSH). I was hoping for fall this year at the latest (sobs).

I know it's not gonna happen, but I wish someone at Viz would say why it takes so long for them to handle Spe now. Viz similpubs most of their other series, and the Ichiban content is online now too!

im pretty sure pokemon official tumblr was never official in the first place

I mean, there have been times before where "official" tumblrs turned out...well, not to be and we didn't find out until way later, but at the very least, before the Pokemon tumblr stopped updating back in 2018, it strictly posted news in a professionalish tone.

Hiiii, I'm kinda making myself physically ill trying so hard to find these, so I was hoping you knew anything about interviews/tweets/statements from Hidenori Kusaka, it's a tumblr post too by someone who talks all about trivia/conception/predictions by him that came true and some statements from him. The only one I personally remember is his surprise that Silver ended up stealing a starter Pokemon too. Any ideas? Tysm.

I think I know who you're talking about, and that person deactivated their tumblr quite some time ago. Ah, I did have some stuff on my own blog years ago, but the search function is useless as always and I can't find it.

That said, there is someone over in Japan who's basically been cataloging PokeSpe trivia since the beginning, including stuff from the original PokeSpe site, and a lot of info was probably taken from them. Ngl violet looks better with the blonde hair more. I hope that black hair is just a wig lmao but if probably not.

Hoping for it to change back soon too, but Yamamoto said in a tweet Violet got his hair done at a salon, so not a wig. Cascarrafa is the only place with a salon that hasn't been visited yet, so we may be stuck with dark haired Violet for a little longer!
