Well, it's no secret that Cheren has phasmophobia. He was always a little wary of Ghost Pokemon before his journey started, since they made no sense to him... They were dead but... still alive? The logic confused and disturbed him. But it became a full on phobia that made him fear for his physical well-being when he was attacked by some Cofagrigus on his Pokemon Journey while he was helping Touko search the Relic Castle. His Liepard saved him, which is why he usually keeps him around.

Cheren spends a good deal of time inside his classroom, reading and studying. As a result, he smells like old books and chalk. All the time. He showers all the time, but the smell still lingers. It is the smell of NERD.
