What kind of laptop do you have? Assuming you run OW and your art program on it, is it heavy duty? Ive been considering downloading OW onto my Macbook Air but i dont know if it could handle it :'/
I actually have a Lenovo IdeaPad Y700 so it’s majorly a heavy duty gaming PC that still functions perfectly with Sai/Photoshop for me. (I bought it on gift money with mostly entertainment in mind)
I’ve actually never owned a Mac before and I don’t know a heck of a lot about laptops but in my opinion you should check out how much hard drive space you have (and whether it’s SSD or HDD), your CPU type, your memory speed, and it probably has an integrated card~ then research those things specifically in relation to gaming if you’re not familiar with them already.
My laptop has i7, a dedicated card, DDR4 2133 memory speed, and more hard drive space on an SSD card than necessary (256 GB)~among other things. If your Air is anywhere close to that then it would probably be just fine! But again I’m not an expert, I’m just giving you an idea.
Also if you work on Photoshop and have many files in the space of your Mac, take that into consideration before downloading the game. Overwatch takes 14.5 GB of memory on my computer not including the lovely massive screenshots I enjoy taking. I think five Photoshop files is about 1 GB?? and being someone who produces tons of virtual pictures every month using Photoshop, I’ve had to keep a close eye on my space.
But yeah, if you look into those things and other specs about your laptop you’ll be able to figure it out. Good luck anon!
15, 18 and 9 :ooo
15. How long does an average piece take you to complete? If we’re talking for tumblr, somewhere around 30 minutes each multi-sketch post, an hour or three max on colored pieces, maybe an hour on B&W pen and photoshop drawings? I don’t count when it’s tumblr, I just wait until I think it’s appropriate to splurge my time on my venty fanart draws.
18. What are you currently trying to improve on?Dare I say everything??? I’m always finding things to improve on. Right now I’d say the biggest thing would be backgrounds with limited progress because I enjoy drawing people in a white void too much.
9. How much time do you spend drawing on an average day?If I’m not doing Responsible Things™ or playing Overwatch it has to be at least four to five hours of just drawing more or less (not counting my average Responsible Things days although it’s probably about the same). I should be a better judge of my time @ v @
17 and 22 on the Artist Asks??
17. Do you think you’re justified in giving other people art advice? No~ Mostly because I’m still very young and just beginning to solidify my ability in drawing. I could probably give anyone asking a few pointers but nothing more as I still have a hell of a lot to learn.
22. Are you confident that you’re improving steadily?Yes! With a few bumps here and there. My style/skill is still shifting and I think it will for a while so I’m always looking for ways to improve.
Thanks for the asks!
I’ve collected enough emoji faces to draw to last me my free time for the next few days so I’m calling a close. Thanks those of you who sent them in!
