how do you take your tea (or coffee)?TEA I like to oversugar my tea.... Mostly when its black tea. I don’t sugar it as much with floral teas (read: jasmine, since thats the only other kind I drink ever). No one can ever order me tea bc I’m so picky about how long its steeped and how much sugar to add and I feel so bad so I just make them get me cider or hot chocolate instead

describe your dream house.This is always so tough bc I’ve always been a rustic castle kid but also I love cozy spaces and cabins in the middle of nowhere. I love the forest and the ocean. But it would have to be somewhere with seasons and where its not ALWAYS cold. Sometimes cold is fine. But it needs good heating inside... While I appreciate an oil lantern as much as the next person, probably more in fact, I’d need modern conveniences like electricity.... Also it has to have a library and some hidden passages. And plenty of natural light.

how well do you think you’d do in a zombie apocalypse scenario?See the problem is that I have all the knowhow, and the routine and the rules and the horror tropes. But I lack the physical capacity. I have a bum leg and a bum lung that would probably get me killed before I could get off my street. 

if you had your dream wardrobe, what would it look like?Lots of suits and vests, some lolita wear, plenty of argyle for the fall, and fandom merch bc otherwise I don’t know how to talk to people.

how did you meet your best friend? What were your first impressions of each other?CACKLES I sat next to her in class and wore my Marauders Map leggings and she revealed her Hogwarts shirt and we bro’d it up in the library crying about HP headcanons for 3 hours. I think we were both p into each other immediately but we were both losers who didn’t know how to socialize so we were lucky we had a teacher to bring us together. (We also both immediately posted about each other on tumblr when we got home and thats how I knew it was meant to be)

As someone who uses Youtubers as coping mechanisms, that Youtuber post is like a punch in the gut. Like I get that people shouldn't idolize anyone, but is it really so wrong that having a Youtuber respond to my post makes me happy? I know they don't know me personally...but they're still a living human who said they appreciate the stuff I did... just let people enjoy stuff. (Sorry for rant)

No I 100% agree.

So like.. 

First off, you can’t possibly know what someone else is thinking, and to paint them as nothing but money grubbing automatons like that is, quite frankly, fucking rude.

Second off, how bitter do you have to be to tell vulnerable kids and people who use youtube to cope that people they idolize don’t care about them? There is literally zero reason for that you are doing absolutely nobody any good.

I understand what they were going for, but a better way to put it might have been “You don’t know youtubers as personally as you feel you do, because everyone has online and offline personas and you don’t know everything about them” or even “They aren’t as good of friends as you might feel, because they haven’t had a chance to meet you so make sure not to idealize them because they are simply human”. Telling people someone they love doesn’t care about them? And painting it with that condescending tone on top of it.

why does 'GLBT' make you suspicious? (It's the preferred order of letters in my country)

Mostly because like... Its always been LGBT and in the wake of recent activism (recent being a loose term) it’s been changed. Now aside from the order of the letters, cis gay white dudes have become the “face” of the queer movement. They’ve been prioritized and often talk over (or at best inadvertently hide) the struggles of like... The entire rest of the community. So in this one tiny minuscule instance that Lesbians come first, or the focus is not completely on gay dudes.... Well now its been changed. Prioritizing dudes over girls even though girls had been first for ages. 

Basically its a micro aggression. And idk maybe it feels different if its always been that way in other countries but.

AFAIK, here in Brazil we don't have school mascots... But what was the mascot from *your* school?

Interesting! Well... My elementary school was a tiger, my middle school was a spartan (????), my first high school was a coyote, the second was a boxer (the dog),my community college was “the storms”????, my first university was the Ducks, and the one I just got admitted to is the wolves!!! Both v fitting for me.

I'm rereading the last few ASOUE books, a few of which I only have the translated versions of, and it's super interesting in hindsight cuz *so much* of the writing is all about wordplay and semantics and sometimes I even try to imagine what the original phrasing was like...

Oh that is interesting! Thats one of the reasons I wish I was fluent in a lot of other languages. Because I love seeing how translated versions differ from originals. So many texts get edited that way.
