he makes her blush, even with such innocent actions. (she may not go on such missions herself, but kushina is not oblivious to the seduction other kunoichi are trained in.) it’s strange, and she doesn’t always know how to deal with it, but one thing she is sure of is that she doesn’t hate it.

“you’re a dork,” the jinchuuriki mutters, though without the malice with which she voices other insults. “a complete and utter dork. i can’t believe i agreed to marry you.” but she did, and she’s not about to change her mind on that. not when he’s made her happier than anyone else in the entire world could.

mito-sama was right, love was the best way to counteract the kyuubi’s anger. and with minato, kushina knew that she had enough love to survive anything. // @kiiroiscnko

if there’s one thing kushina dislikes, it’s feeling like she needs people. after all, she’s the bloody habanero, the jinchuuriki of the kyuubi, and an uzumaki by blood. she’s a protector, the person that can go out into the heat of battle and kick ass so that the people she loves don’t have to be hurt.

and yet, when minato hugs her, kushina feels safe. like he could hold onto her and not let any danger touch her. and it wasn’t like he was underestimating her, because she knew he recognized just how strong she was. 

it’s strange, and something she doesn’t really want to think about too deeply. (emotions are not her strong suit, and so kushina tries to avoid focusing on them when she can.) so instead, the kunoichi just lets the blond hug her, awkwardly returning the gesture as she does so. “you’re an idiot, you know that?” but, that wasn’t the worst thing in the world. // @kiiroiscnko

Tucker was a little startled when Maine gently reached for his hand. The normally intimidating man seemed very genuine in the moment, and Tucker couldn’t help but grin at the contact. He laced his fingers tentatively with Maine’s and squeezed lightly.

“Not that I’m complaining, but what’s up with the hand-holding? Didn’t expect it to be your kind of thing.” He said, tilting his head to the side.

Crawling under the blankets was a bit of a challenge, but the inside was surprisingly roomy for being built out of chairs, sheets, and pillows. Tucker pulled the bowl of popcorn and a bottle of juice in after him and offered some to Junior. “Brought snacks. You want any?”

It was rare that they had time to do anything family-like, but Tucker wasn’t complaining - as strange as it was for him, he liked being a father.
