Hello?.. is it okay if you can make a moodboard for a Witch of Time (who if you could, fell in love with a Thief of Rage?)
Of course! (I hope it’s alright if it’s based mostly on the witch/thief aspect of it!)
Aspect: Time
Compliment: Space Role: Protector, Time Traveller. Traits: Impressionable
Themes
Music:
The Design of Scratch Architecture (Beat Mesa & Cardinal Movement)
Time-Travel Objects (Dave’s Turntables, Aradia’s Music Boxes)
Dave’s interest in rap, a heavily measured and rhythmic genre
Land of Quartz and Melody.
Death:
Dave and Aradia share an interest in archeology and paleontology
Megido is a variant of “Megiddo,” Greek for “armageddon.” This is also a famous battle site in Israel, which has been excavated several times. Mount Megiddo has become known in Christian literature as the site of the final battle between good and evil. It’s a huge deal.
Aradia is named after the mythological “queen of witches” and “daughter of Diana and Lucifer.” She is known for descending from the sky to teach women witchcraft and for being “condemned to dwell the skies.” Probably not a huge secret to anyone, but witches were seen as servants of “the devil” and death in both Christian, Greek, and Italian mythos, all three of which “Aradia, or the Gospel of the Witches” and her mythos was spawned from and influenced by. The mythical figure’s history closely resembles Homestuck’s Aradia, who is already dead upon her introduction, is of strange origins, claims to “serve death” and the “master” of time, and forsakes the living to dwell amongst and “guide” the dead.
Motifs
Meeting with Alternate Selves
Deranged Guardian (Dirk, Doc Scratch, Gamzee)
Legendary Role (Dave and Caledfwlch, Aradia the Psychopomp, Demara the Handmaiden of Death, Lord English)
