Battlefield One Loadouts: The Assault
While leveling up the classes to rank 10 to acquire all of the weapons these are the loadouts that I found enjoyable to play and may help you out. First up the Assault class.
Primary Weapon - MP18 Trench
If you’ve been playing for a while you will have noticed that some weapons in the assault class are ridiculously good at a particular job. The Model 10-A Hunter is broken (seriously I have been killed by it from 20 metres...) The Automatico is great for hip firing but personally I never feel in control when I’m aiming down the sights and is a bit of a pee shooter.
I feel that the MP18 Trench also has excellent hip control (trench variants are built for that after all) and the bullets feel like they have weight. I have footage where I have mowed down three enemies with the same magazine which I never feel like I can do with the Automatico. This weapon also has fairly easy to control recoil and I have been able to use it effectively at longer ranges. This gun also has the advantage of being available to the player from level one.
Secondary Weapon - 1903 Hammerless
This is a comfort choice really. The Hammerless falls into the same archetype as pistols like the Frommer Stop. It is a fast firing pistol which needs four hits to kill the target. You can argue that the M1911 is more effective because it only requires three hits but because it is a slower firing pistol I feel that it is easier for the opponent to out shoot you because of the slower fire rate
Grenade - Light Anti Tank Grenade
Gadget One - Anti Tank Grenades
Gadget Two - AT Rocket Gun
The Assault class has one clear job that it excels at, destroying enemy armour. I have found that for the most part the light AT Grenade is just as effective at killing infantry as any other option and for the most part I don’t use grenades that often because my guns are more than capable. Dynamite leaves you too exposed when trying to use and I feel that overall AT mines are hit and miss. I feel with these gadgets you can deal with any armoured threat regardless of distance.
Or if you’re feeling like you need to absolutely kill that asshole camping in the corner your gadgets are fantastic are killing enemy infantry should no tanks be available.
Melee Weapon - Hatchet
This option will be the same for all of my class loadouts because it is genuinely the best melee weapon available. It deals the most damage per swing (55) and has the ability to cut wood and barbed wire which also makes it the most useful option available to you
Always remember to be aggressive with this build. You will not be successful if you are trying to hold back. Take the fight to them and you will come out on top
