I think i understand why Middleschool Rui wore a shirt under his uniform.

I do this too, i wear a lot of buttonups, and especially since i cant be bothered getting dressed most days, i just put the shirt on over whatever i wear to sleep. i assume thats what hes doing here but i could very well be wrong.

maybe it could also be a texture thing. Rui is heavily implied to be autistic, so maybe the shirt by itself felt bad for him. i used to have a TON of texture problems with clothes, but now i dont now that im older, so maybe he was able to get used to it.
