ELENA TYLER is a 20 year old patient in the MEDICAL WARD. She has been diagnosed with JUVENILE DIABETES and INSOMNIA and she looks a lot like Marie Avgeropoulos.

MAYBE THEY’RE HIDING

There was no one Elena Tyler was more connected with than her twin sister, Eliza, her built in best friend and caretaker. As often happens with twins, Elena was born underweight with medical problems as Eliza thrived. This seemed to only bring them closer as Eliza kept Elena close to her, caring for her and watching out for her as they grew up. Being diagnosed with Juvenile diabetes is hard for anyone - having to watch sugar and carb intakes, having to worry about insulin injections and medications. But Eliza always made it fun. Made it almost like a game so that Elena never felt alone or forgotten.

WE HOPE THEY ARE PLAYING A GAME

As they got older, they fell into their own things. Being of a high society family in Chicago, Eliza tended to go towards the ways of high society - popularity, parties, even turning a little rebellious as their parents started calling her on her poor decisions. Elena, however, went the quiet route. Their parents were far more protective of Elena - something Eliza envied with all she had - so she wasn’t allowed the same freedoms. She spent her time inside, mostly reading and writing down her thoughts into poems and stories. She wasn’t allowed out of her parents’ sight, but Eliza always came back to her. After her parties and her rebellious actions, she would always come home, cuddle up with Elena and tell her all about it.

BUT THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING

Until one night, there was a large fight between Eliza and her parents. Eliza had had enough of her parents talking down to her and trying to tell her what to do. She changed her clothes - provocative and enticing like a prostitute, and slipped out without a word to anyone. When Eliza didn’t come home that night, Elena worried herself sick. She went to her parents who, at first, just shrugged it off as another one of Eliza’s rebellious tantrums. But this had never happened - Eliza had never been away from Elena that long and it was making the girl worry. It would be three whole days before they would find Elena’s twin - tortured and dead. Elena struggled with it for weeks, for months. Wondering what had happened to her twin, feeling the same pain and hurt that Eliza must have been feeling. As the news continued to come out days after, it became a crushing weight against Elena. She never was the same - her parents finding her screaming in the middle of the night, crying in small areas clutching to a stuffed animal that belonged to Eliza, talking in a weird language they knew what the twin speak invented by their children. It started to become too much, and Elena’s parents were concerned that her mental health was starting to weigh down on her physical health, causing more frequent issues with her diabetes. It was time that they send her to Brielle, getting her the help she so desperately needed.

LILIANA “LEE” KYLES is an 12-year-old PATIENT in the PSYCHIATRIC WARD. She has been diagnosed with STOCKHOLM SYNDROME, SELF-DEFEATING PERSONALITY DISORDER and SELF HARM. She looks a lot like Kylie Rogers.

WE HOPE THEY ARE PLAYING A GAME

Liliana was one of the last children to be brought to the campgrounds. She was abducted by Sir later in the game, simply because she was a harder target. Though she doesn’t remember it, Lee was from a very wealthy family. Sir had planned to use her in order to gain funding for his…“project.” When she was five, he finally managed to abduct her. As with all the other kids, Lee was brainwashed and completely convinced that the apocalypse was the reason why she was here. Sir had taken an extreme liking to the young blonde, who actively grew more and more attached to him, viewing him as one would view their father. Sir then began to take advantage of her…abusing her in disgusting ways that would make one’s skin crawl. He even convinced her to hurt herself, feeding her spoonfuls of pride whenever she’d present a bruise she had gotten or a cut she had managed to get. Sir found it entertaining, the sadistic pleasure of having a young, innocent girl torture herself for his approval made him feel power. Lee didn’t know any better. She was a child when she was abducted, she was tricked into keeping it from the other kids. She didn’t want the others to know. Sir was special to her. He was the best man in the world. He had saved her, and kept her safe, and made her happy and rewarded her whenever she did something he wanted. Lee loved him with all of her young, unknowingly-broken heart.

IVY COOPER is an 9 year old PATIENT in the PSYCHIATRIC WARD. She has been diagnosed with PTSD, DISSOCIATIVE AMNESIA and NIGHT TERRORS and she looks a lot like Lilliana Ketchman.

MAYBE THEY’RE HIDING

Ivy always looked up to her big sister and her older brother. Her parents fought a lot which was hard on the eight year old. Her father was not nice and she didn’t understand why. Little did she know he had always been like that. When he was a boy growing up with his younger brother he was rather abusive. He met her mother had her older sister, then her brother and then her. But things were already bad from the start. The day her parents found out that little Ivy, had Myocarditis, inflammation in the heart muscles, everything went downhill. Her parents struggled with bills and even though she was little she heard her fathers words on the other side of the door that it was her fault. It was all because she was sick.

WE HOPE THEY ARE PLAYING A GAME

Her mother tried to act like nothing was happening but it was hard for Ivy. She constantly had bruises and she had to explain to her friends that it was, more or less, her fault. Which, unfortunately, the young child believed to be true. She’d often find herself sleeping in her sisters bed because of the screaming at night. Then it happened. Her world was turned upside down forever. Her father had come home late and was fighting with her mother. She and her siblings were in the room. That’s when she watched her father pull out a gun. He was threatening their mother and she could remember someone saying to get out of he room but she just stood there confused. Her brother tried to interfere and was shot. The piercing scream that came out of the little girl covered the next gun shot sound. Her mother and her brother were dead. She ran out of the room and out of the house trying to find her sister. Moments later police showed up and her father was hauled off to jail.

BUT THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING

She and her sister were sent to live with their uncle. Their uncle was their fathers brother, and had suffered too much from their fathers hand. He reused to pay for medicine for the young girl and he was pretty much absent. The few times he was around were brutal. He had become just like their father after years of abuse from him, he was just the same. Her sister decided one day enough was enough and packed some bags for the two of them and they up and left. They spent a few months on the streets. Her sister would often steal to help Ivy, especially stealing drugs. This was the reason they were caught. The little blonde girl was waiting for her sister like always when a police car pulled up with her sister in the back. They asked her to come with them and after questioning and a tough decision she was headed for Brielle. Her sister was sent to a more secure institution that Ivy would not be allowed to know the name of.

LOOKING TO PICK UP ANOTHER CHARACTER ?? OR MAYBE YOU’RE NEW TO BRIELLE ... EITHER WAY, WE HAVE A SPECIAL POINTS BONUS TO SWAY YOU !!

Throughout the REST of the event, we’re going to be offering extra points for every single STAFF MEMBER that get’s picked up !! Now that we’ve hit 50 CHARACTERS, with only 17 of these being staff members, we’re in dire need of some extra workers in Brielle to even it out a bit and help with the current rounds. So I’m here to tell you WHY writing a staff member is far better than writing a patient !!

THE PERKS !! There is way more opportunities if you write a staff member... Not only can you write within Brielle, but you can write about their life outside of Brielle. Maybe your character has a family who they interact with on a regular basis, a husband or a wife, or even children ... Introduce the unexpected.

MORE PERKS !! Not only do you have to interact with the other staff members inside of the building, but you can interact outside of Brielle too !! Even if it’s just a drink at a local bar or completing the food shopping together ... That is one opportunity that patients do not have - the outside WORLD. 

MORE FREEDOM !! You are not always confined to rules, if you write a staff member. Sure, there are ways they are expecting to act at work and as always, we encourage the rule breaking - but they are not as limited as a patient may be. The staff members are the ones who MAKE the rules.

EXPANDING YOUR HORIZONS !! By writing a staff member, there are more opportunities to write with mun’s who you may not normally write with. For example, if you’re writing a therapist, a patient who you have not yet written with could end up on your lists - meaning you’re exploring something new.

NOT ALL STAFF NEED TO BE SANE !! Everybody has some image that the staff need to be slick and polished... No, no !! Give us some corrupt staff members - we want drug dealers, mental disorders, medical illnesses, horrible personalities. Corrupt staff membrs are what makes Brielle INTERESTING. 

NOT ALL STAFF MEMBERS NEED TO BE OLD !! If playing an older character isn’t your cup of tea, then you can write an intern ( aged 19 - 22 ). Intern’s can be as mischievous as the patients, involving themselves in friendships and stirring up some trouble alongside all of the other people on the dash.

THERE ARE QUIRKIER JOBS THAN YOU REALISE !! Just because you’re writing a staff member, that doesn’t mean their jobs have to be nitty gritty ... they can be an art therapist or even a music therapist - or if you want to explore something entirely different that we don’t already have in Brielle, we’re happy to accommodate. 

MAJOR PLOTS ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE APPROVED !! Do you want your character to end up pregnant? Perhaps they’‘ve been involved in some kind of assault ... because these kind of things may not have as heavy an impact on patients, they are likely to be approved far QUICKER. 

THE POINTS !! If you have any other character ( as obviously, the points are more catered towards patients due to staff members having UNLIMITED access to everything the patients do ), you are gaining more points to use for each of your other characters. We are always in need of more staff - which is why we encourage through the points system that you pick up more characters, like staff members.

GOT THE IDEAS, BUT DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START ?? Leave the rest to us. If you have any ideas in mind at all, consisting of age, job position, faceclaim, history, etc - then let us know and we would be more than happy to write up the bio for you. It’s what we LOVE to do so if you’re unsure of where to begin, or don’t want to put in the leg work, then we will be more than happy to OBLIGE.

Our list of reason’s why writing a staff member not only provides way more opportunities than a patient does - but also some incenitives to see more applications for staff members in. HEY GUYS !!

Admin Sharna here and I have something pretty exciting in the works... A new team !! We're almost all put together; just waiting on a few extra bits to fall into place but hopefully by tomorrow - everybody will be savvy with the main and Brielle will jump up and be running as a fully active roleplay again !! I thank you all for your patience and your hopes in this roleplay running well. I honestly never want to see its doors close and intend on being here for as LONG as I can which kinda makes you stuck with me...

ELOISE “WINNIE” STERLING is a 13 year old RUNAWAY in the MEDICAL WARD. She has been diagnosed with CONGENITAL INSENSITIVITY TO PAIN & STOCKHOLM SYNDROME and looks a lot like (Sadie Sink). 

MAYBE THEY’RE HIDING

From the moment she was born, Eloise was treated as a thing to be protected. Her parents, especially her mother, monitored everything she did and everyone she spoke to. They felt had a good reason to. It was discovered at an early age that Eloise had been born with a rare genetic condition that left her unable to feel pain. Her life felt like a series of nos and do nots. Eloise loved her parents, and deep down she knew they were doing this because they cared about her safety, but she felt trapped, especially as she grew older. With her parents interfering in every aspect of her life, it was hard for the young girl to make friends. Lonely, with nothing but books to keep her company, she began to entertain the idea of running away. She didn’t even have a real school to go; she was homeschooled . And then one day, she made the greatest discovery of her young life: she could climb over the fence that surrounded her yard. At first, she would only stay out for a few minutes, returning before her parents could notice she was gone. However, soon her excursions grew longer and longer, until eventually things reached a tipping point when she was eleven.

WE HOPE THEY ARE PLAYING A GAME

There was a fair, coming to the town she lived in. Eloise longed to go to the fair- for the opportunity to be a normal girl. It was pointless asking her parents. She already knew the answer. Her parents would never have let her go to a place like the fair-there were too many ways she could get injured- so she took it upon herself to go to the fair herself. The fair was new and exciting, everything Eloise had dreamed it would be and more, but it was never her intention to stay out so long. But somewhere among the cotton candy and carnival games she’d lost track of time, and then she’d had a grim realization. Her parents were bound to have noticed her absence by now, and when she returned, things could only get worse. They’d never let her out of their sight. She decided her only option was to run away. The idea she’d once entertained had become her reality.   But life had other plans for Eloise. A man and a woman - a desperate couple with no kids of their own, visiting Eloise’s state on a vacation- saw the young girl on her own, and figured she would not be missed. After all, what good parents would let such a young girl go to a fair by herself? They could do much better than that. So they lured Eloise away from the crowds, chloroformed her, and kidnapped her.

BUT THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING

She woke up in their car as they crossed the state line into Oregon and the couple told her that she was their child now- that they’d call her real parents and they’d given her away. Eloise was scared of course- this made no sense-, but she was surprised to find she was also excited. Wasn’t this what she had wanted? Adventure and the great unknown? So she went along. Her new parents gave her the name Winnie, dyed and cut her hair, and bought her all new clothes- including a pair of fake glasses she was to wear at all times.  It wasn’t so bad actually. The glasses made her feel like super man and her new “parents” were much less strict. For the first time in life she was allowed to have sleepovers, play sports, and- by the benefit of a fake birth certificate-go to a real school. Her “parents” didn’t know about her condition, and nor did she plan to tell them. In the end, this is what would reunite Eloise with her real parents. One day at recess, she fell out of a tree she was climbing. She felt nothing, even though it was quite obvious her leg was broken.  An ambulance was called and when her ‘parents’ met her at the hospital, suspicions were raised. Their lack of knowledge about Eloise’s unique condition was concerning, especially when the medical history they made up didn’t quite add up. Things fell apart quickly. And it wasn’t hard to find a missing child’s report for a girl with Congenital Insensitivity to Pain who matched Eloise’s description. The only problem was that Eloise swore up and down that her real name was Winnie Tucker, that she’d never been outside of Oregon- even when a dna test said otherwise. She’d had taste of what being normal was and she wasn’t going back. In frustration, the Sterlings sent their daughter to Brielle, where hopefully she could realize the full extent of what had happened to her, and more importantly, where could never be hurt again.

ABRIELLE “ELLIE” WILLIS is a 16-year-old RUNAWAY in the PSYCHIATRIC WARD. She has been diagnosed with BIPOLAR DISORDER, SELF HARM, and DEPRESSION. She looks a lot like Sabrina Carpenter.

MAYBE THEY’RE HIDING

Abrielle never understood what she had done to have such a terrible life. Was she an accident? Had she messed up in some previous afterlife? What had she done WRONG? Abrielle spent her entire childhood wondering why she couldn’t have a family like everyone else. Wondering why she had to have a weird older brother and terrible parents who didn’t even care about her. Up until Abrielle was fourteen, she would try to avoid her living situation and her lack of parental figures by doing as much as she possible could; whether it be participating in after school clubs or sports, joining student council, doing community service, staying with teachers after school…She tried literally EVERYTHING to take her mind off what was going on at home. She didn’t talk to anyone about it, because she was embarrassed…and besides, she hardly had any real friends to hang out with, let alone TALK to about her home life. 

WE HOPE THEY ARE PLAYING A GAME

Things took a turn for the worse one night when her older brother, Ryder, had become fed up with their parent’s behavior. He had exploded,  he started screaming and demanding and threatening…and Abrielle stayed tucked away on the stairs watching the whole thing. She had spent that entire night crying hysterically, pacing in her room, wishing that her life was different and asking God or whoever was up why he had made her live such a terrible existence. It was that night Abrielle cut herself for the first time, and it was the next morning that she would be packing up her bags and saying goodbye to her brother before being sent into foster care. As if life couldn’t get any worse for the troubled teen, she was going to be bouncing from house to house with no place to really call home. Her depression grew worse and worse, and eventually, she began to have manic episodes. She’d go from being be happy and hopeful one second to being filled with vengeance and uncontainable rage the next. Then she’d come home from a long day at a new school and have a depressive episode, crying hysterically in her room and relying on self harm to take away the pain she was feeling. Two years of bouncing around from home to home, family to family, suffering from undiagnosed psychiatric issues and it got to the point where she couldn’t take it anymore and she ran away.

BUT THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING

She hadn’t planned it, it wasn’t something she had made a checklist for. One more when she was getting ready for school she decided she was done being passed around from home to home and she packed some clothes instead of school books and scavenged as much money as she could before she missed the bus…and took off. For days she was out on her own; hiding from local authorities and camping out behind restaurants, getting food and snacks from convenience stores and brushing her teeth in the bathrooms of fast food chains. Eventually, she was caught loitering one evening by a police officer, and given the state she was in…it was very evident she had been on her own for a couple of days, close to two weeks. She had managed to journey miles from home, and when brought back to the station, she was analyzed and it was obvious that the young girl had suffered. The authorities called Brielle Institute and inquired if they would offer her the young runaway a place of refuge, and after hearing about the condition she was found in and the scars on her harms, Brielle couldn’t help but agree to take her in. When she arrived, Abrielle was immediately diagnosed and she thought she was finally safe from her past…but little did she know that just on the other side of the building her older brother, who she hadn’t seen in two years, was applying for a job.
