āÆļø The Order of the Grey Wardens; š± Tevinter; š³ Barbarian cultures; for Atlas and/or Falon
Thank you!! Iāll do them for both!Ā āÆļø The order of the Grey Wardens:Atlas: She personally believes that theyāve over extended their stay, and after seeing what happened at Adamant with the blood magic it just makes her case further. She does agree they are in fact useful when it comes to defeating archdemons but firmly believes that they need to be either leashed, or dissolved. Theyāve been exiled from Fereldon once, and personally she wouldnāt shed a tear if they had been exiled from Orlais. After Rhona declared them to be allies, she prayed Rhona knew what she was doing and not just being biased since she was a close friend to Avalon and her own brother being a warden. She was incredibly cautious around the wardens who had been staying at Skyhold- fearful that some were still influenced by blood magic.Falon: As a young girl, her keeper once told stories about the fabled Grey Wardens and the dalishās involvement in prior Blights. Falon saw them as the fabled heroes soaring the skies on their Griffins. She admired them and saw their sacrifices as noble and dutiful. Her opinion had been soured after Adamant, she felt her heart break as she saw the corruption seeping from them. She didnāt become bitter about them, she saw this alliance as a great way for those remaining to atone for their actions. She believed in the benefit of the doubt, and wanted to see them as the glorious heroes from her childhood.š± Tevinter:Atlas: She wasnāt quite pleased with how those who arenāt mages are treated, hearing first hand from Krem. Atlas loathed the fact that slaves are still present in Tevinter, despite Dorian stating that some families treat their slaves well. She was livid that her own kind were still being forced to work against their will, she hated the blood magic. She may not be Dalish but she hated the fact that Tevinter built their culture and their lives by destroying and stealing from the elves- claiming everything as their own.Ā Falon: she has a natural curiosity for the Imperium, and is especially intrigued by how magic isnāt out-rightly feared by the public. She always dreams of living in a place where she isnāt discriminated for being a mage, despite being an elf. Of course she hates the parts of Tevinter that stole elven culture, claiming it as theirs, but she canāt help but to wonder what life for her would be like.š³ Barbarian cultures:Atlas:Ā Only having experience with the Avaar that were in the Fallow Mire, she doesnāt have much love for them. She seems them as animals and just down right savages. She usually avoids their holds as much as she can. She doesnāt finally get a positive experience until the expedition into the Frost Backs. The Avaar of Stone-Bear Hold were warm and welcoming and some of the scouts were more than willing to give Atlas some pointers and tips for getting around in the Basin, places of interest, places to avoid, ect. She had come to enjoy their company and found some of their customs to be interesting. Despite the Hakkonites still reminding her of the ones who kidnapped Inquisition scouts in the Mire, she now sees that there are some holds that arenāt just utter savages.Falon: She saw some similarities between the avaar and the dalish, her clan especially. Especially the nomadic lifestyles, she learned that since nothing in the Frostbacks stay the same, they canāt rely on permanent settlements. Just like the Dalish canāt rely to live in the same place for too long. She was intrigued by their relationships with spirits, and how they didnāt view their mages who were accompanied with spirits as abominations. She was fascinated with how the Avaar shaman / augurs appease the spirits with certain rituals and in exchange the spirits ward of ones corrupted by rage or despair.
I got the idea from @elfsplaining and decided to make Atlas because I love my stabby city child???
Havenāt posted in 1,000,000 years but happy 8th birthday to my dearest, Atlas Lavellan!!! The longest running oc Iāve ever had (as well as the one that has changed the most). Will make an actual post for her maybe
The Inquisitor
Happy 3rd birthday, Atlas!! She literally is one of my characters I am most proud of and I love how far she has come, fun fact, she was actually my brothers character at first!
My bby, but new and improved!! Now she looks like the mature, mom-friend that I wanted all this time
Bottom is from like a year ago
Atlas before: Perfectly plays the Game at Halamshiral, gets 100% court approval, saves Celene and lets her rule Orlais
Atlas now: Sips fancy wine while Celene gets stabbed
