Preferences - Meeting For The First Time

Batman - Bruce Wayne-

It's your first day working for Bruce Wayne and it was something you didn't want to wreck in day one. You needed this job so you could stay in Gotham. You didn't want to leave as your father, Jim Gordon still lived here. You had walked in early that morning, about the same time as Bruce. You two had a small chat. Bruce wasn't used to people getting there early and was eager to find out who you were. Bruce asks you to get something ready so he could get on his way. You nodded your head and you both went your separate ways. It was definitely a good idea to get to the office a lot earlier then you needed to.

Superman - Clark Kent-

Your Bruce Wayne's sister and he asked you to go to a charity event in Metropolis. You didn't want to go as you wanted to look after Gotham while Bruce went to Metropolis but he knew more about the case that you were doing at the time so he needed you in Metropolis while he stayed behind. So that's how you end up talking to a reporter from the Daily Plant. It didn't start well as he dropped his drink all over you. You got chatting when you finished cleaning the mess off the front of your dress and you found out that he knew your brother. He said they had met a few times when he went to Gotham and when Bruce came to Metropolis. You got a bit drunk and he took you to your place and left when he knew you were ok. He was your knight in a suit.

Wonder Woman - Princess Diana-

You were working at the little café that you own and it was quiet. It had been a really quiet day and it meant you could deal with some of your personal problems. A guy walked in the café and was disrespecting everyone who was in the cafe and no matter what you did he didn't stop. But then she can to your rescue. She came into the café and got him out without making a really big scene. You were so grateful that you gave her a free coffee or tea and a muffin. She tried not to except it but you were too headstrong so she took her order and was no her way to her next thing for the day. Little did you know it was to save the city as Wonder Woman.

Green Lantern - Hal Jordon-

You were a flight pilot. One of the best though the men don't think so. They all flirt with you and think that they are the best but when you're asked to train the new recruits they get pissed. This is how you meet the smart ass, Hal Jordon. He always said flirty comments at you and had questioned you on some flight questions in front of the whole class. You answered every question correctly and when he didn't know how to react you reminded him that you were the person to get him into the army. He didn't like that one bit but it stopped the comments for the day.

Flash - Barry Allen-

You just moved back to Central City as you needed to move city's after you were kidnapped on a case. You're a cop and you now work at the local police station where your father works at. Your brother also came to the city but your father knows about him. It didn't start off too great though as you had nowhere to live and the only person you knew in this town brother but you didn't want to ask him as he didn't know you moved and you didn't want your father to find out about you. You find an apartment however and your next-door neighbour is an old friend but he wouldn't remember you. You ran into him in the halls and you both smiled at each other and introduced your selves to each other. While talking however you felt your hands start to heat up and you had to make a hasty escape to your apartment. Did I tell you; you were at Central City when the particle accelerator exploded.

Nightwing - Dick Grayson-

You didn't know what to do. You steal from big businesses to look after for your family and to try to fix what your father caused before he ran away from it all. You had heard of Nightwing but you were lucky enough to have never seen him before. One night though, after stealing a bunch of gems, you get to meet him. He's not as bad as the story's making him out to be. He trys to stop you from leaving with the gems and to put you behind bars but you are quicker than him and you got away really quickly. You were so excited that you almost texted your best friend Dick but then you remembered that you were both cops and it would look good if you told him you were also one of the biggest criminals in the city.

Red Robin - Tim Drake-

You had just moved in with your uncle Bruce as your mother and father didn't think it was safe for you in Metropolis anymore with Lex going crazy and trying to kill Superman. You hadn't been there in a while and when you get there to find that your uncle has adopted three kids and had a son with some lady that you hadn't met. It was really overwhelming to know that you're the only girl. One of them you're your age and his name was Tim. You both started talking to each other after Jason locked you both in your room. You found out you both like a lot of similar things. You ended up watching a movie on your bed while you waited for someone to finally let you both out.

Robin - Damian Wayne-

You've been friends with Jon since you were little kids and when he is friends with the new kid you also have to get to know him. You don't like him and he doesn't like you. He doesn't really like anyone. He reminds you of yourself when you first moved here. Maybe if you brake him down like Jon did to you then he might not be that bad. You tried that but he just got angrier with you and started to walk away every time you tried to talk to him. You hope it doesn't get even worse when you all meet up at Jon's place the next night.

Red Hood - Jason Todd-

You needed somewhere to live as you just lost your job and apartment and the only girl friend you had doesn't live in Gotham anymore. The only person you can trust is your brother, Roy but that may not work too well as you weren't speaking to each other after a fight about you living in Gotham alone after you had been forced out of the house by your parents. He wanted you to leave Gotham but you had so many friends here and at the time a boyfriend. But after the week you had you needed some good news. Turning up unannounced to his apartment may not go down well but you needed to do it. You turn up with tears running down but instead of your brother, another man opens the door. You ask for your brother but the man says he's out. You nod your head but instead of letting you go the man said you could stay there and wait for your brother. You agree and you both have a great conversation until your brother finally got home.

Batwoman - Kate Kane-

You had just come back to Gotham after you had left 10 years ago. You wanted to see your brother who is Bruce Wayne. You had left shortly after your parents were killed and you finally came back to Gotham. You didn't really speak to Bruce or Alfred while you were gone, so you thought it was finally time to talk to them again. When you get there, you are greeted with lots of hugs and are introduced to the rest of the people in his home. You found out your brother had made a new family for himself and he wanted to find you so you could join. You were quite happy to live with him again but there was one person you wanted more than a friend. And you're pretty sure she feels the same way.

Batgirl/Oracle - Barbara Gordan-

Dick wanted you to meet his girlfriend as you had been away for a while. As his sister, you needed to see who he was dating. You didn't really care about meeting the girl but you did it for him. It wouldn't be the first time, or the last, that you had to meet who he was dating that month or week sometimes. It was tiring, but this one stayed for a while so she must be good. So good that you liked her as well. Not just with Dick but for yourself as well.

Green Arrow - Oliver Queen-

Being shot at was always fun to you. It was exciting to know that one wrong move and you could die right there and then. When stealing something you would stay just that bit longer so the cops would have a shot at you. They always missed anyway, but when you hear about a Queen Arrow person that never misses you needed to meet him in person. Lucky he was easy to find. The night you were running on rooftops when you saw him. He jumped out in front of you and raised his bow towards you. Instead of standing there you quickly move as he shoots. You tell him he missed and he just smirked and said, "Did I?" Then the arrow when into your leg. You let out a scream and go to say something but he was already gone. It didn't go as you planned.

Blue Beetle - Jaime Reyes-

You went back in time to find your brother Bart Allen, who had done the same thing weeks ago in order to save your timeline. Nothing had changed in weeks so you decided to go back and make sure he was ok. What you didn't think you would see is your brother having fun with the Blue Beetle instead of just killing him. When you get to the cave that's what you find. You quickly run up to the Blue Beetle but Bart sees you and tackles you to the ground. He was pinning you down to the ground about to punch you when he sees who you are. He smiles so brightly that when he jumps off you, he runs straight to the Blue Beetle forgetting that you hate him with a passion. You grab Bart's arm and start to drag him away. Just as you leave, you turn back to Blue and think, 'why is the one that made my life bad so cute when he was my age?'

Supergirl - Kara Kor-El-

You were from Krypton and had been sent to earth before it exploded. You had met as a result of your adopted families knowing each other and both knew the kids they look after were from space. You met Clark first and you two were meant to get married when he was old enough but you didn't want that and you found out that he didn't either. He was now older than you and it made you both feel weird so you were ok to just stay friends. The moment the two of you locked eyes you knew you were going to marry the wrong cousin. She was your age and much like you, her pod reached years after Clarks. You met in your 20's and for you, it was love at first sight. You didn't know how she felt but it wouldn't be the last time you would meet. You both did work at CAT Co; you were bound to see each other there.

Kid Flash - Wally West-

Your families knew each other. Your mums went to school together and after they saw each other one day at the market they planned to come over to your place to have dinner. You both were too stubborn and you didn't hit it off to a great start. Then he started flirting with you and you flirted back. You didn't do it in front of your mothers but there was a bit of chemistry between you both. You both got closer together. You knew this would be the only time you would see him as you were moving to Central City the next day so you took the chance and kissed him. That end really quickly as your mothers walked in the room and he had to leave.

Aquaman - Arthur Curry-

You were at the beach with a group of friends when it all went downhill. Your little brother had been swimming next to you and when you turned back to him, he was gone. You were yelling for him but you heard no response. You start to panic and call out to your friends when you see it. A crowd had formed around someone at the beach shore and when you get closer to the centre you see your brother. You went fall doctor mode but just as you go to him, he takes in a deep breath. You quickly move to his side and make sure he's ok. You bring him into a hug and look to the side to see who had saved him. He was really cute and hot so you thanked him for saving your brother and hoped in your head that you would get to see him again.

Superboy - Kon-El-

You're Batman's sidekick and you were one of the first members to join the young justice team when it was first made. He was rude to you the first time you met him but the other four said that when you get to know him, he's really nice. You spent the day fight so you didn't really talk and when it was all over, he still had his bratty attitude but he was a little nicer to you.

Black Canary - Dinah Lance-

Your Oliver's twin sister. You weren't in the spotlight because you never needed to be so you weren't in the media much. When he 'died' on his trip, you had to keep the family together and you had to look after the family business. It never sat well with you thinking he died. You meet Dinah when you were with the Green Arrow. She was Black Canary and you S/N. (S/N = Superhero Name) Neither of you knew who you were under the mask but neither of you cared. You wanted each other with or without the mask.

Shazam - Billy Batson-

You had just moved school as the last one you went to you were bullied almost every day. On your first day at your new school you go in thinking the same thing will happen until someone changes your mind and you make friends instead of bullies. He was really nice to you and when you told him about your other school, he promised that he won't let that ever happen to you again. He made sure the whole day that he was by your side and never left.

Martian Manhunter - J'onn J'onzz-

You were just captured by your boss Lex Luthor. You didn't know what to do and didn't really try to fight it. When the Justice League gets there though you change your mind. If they were there then something big must be happening and even though you trust your brother to save you, you had some idea's in your head. You somehow got out, with no one knowing and just met the league at the watch tower. The only thing was they didn't all come at once. The Martian Manhunter was the first there and he attacked you thinking you were attacking the tower. Luckily your brother got there before he killed you. Wouldn't want a mad Superman.

Starfire - Princess Koriand'r-

Your father, Superman, wanted you to learn to how to control your powers but also wanted you to get to know people that were like you so he sent you to Titan Tower. You didn't want to go and just wanted to learn with your dad but he made you go so you made the most of it. You talked with everyone and everyone was nice back. There was one person that you really like and you didn't want to let that person go. She was the nicest and she was an alien like you.

Impulse - Bart Allen-

Running was something you always hated. When you had to do it at school you only hated it more. It was cross country day and you and your friend Jaime were waiting at the start line. You always run for about 2 mins or less and then walked the rest of the way. This year though, Jaime's friend wanted to run the whole way. You were not pleased. And almost made Jaime walk with you but you knew that he couldn't leave his friend by himself. You stopped but what happened next surprised you. Jaime's friend turned around and walked with you. You both talk the rest of the way and when you got to the finish line you found Jaime angry as he ran by himself. You all had a good laugh about it.

Atom - Ray Palmer-

Working at a café was your dream job. Owning one was even better than just working in one. You thought it would never happen but when it did you were over the moon. It was a day where not a lot of people were coming in but it wasn't dead either. Just how you liked it. It means you get to talk to your customers. It was the best part about working in a café. You got to meet some really great people, even date some. You had met someone the other day. He was a bright person and he was someone who walked past your little place every day. You were so glad when he finally walked in to get something.

Beast Boy - Garfield Logan-

Living in the woods always looked like a good idea to you but you wished you never did it. You were hungry and all you wanted to do was fix something. Anything at this rate. You were lucky when you found the Titan Tower. Only thing was, how to get in. You changed into a small animal and got inside. You were walking across the floor as a mouse when you heard a scream. You quickly run to their cupboard and wait for the noise to stop. Just when you think your ok, a green boy opens the door and stares right at you. He smiles and trys to pick you up. You quickly run away and everyone in the tower trys to stop or hit you. You just kept running until you saw the room with the boy's face on it and went inside. You felt save in there, so you stayed in the corner and waited till the next day.

Speedy/Arsenal - Roy Harper-

Your twin sister was going out to clubs all the time and you were starting to get worried about her. You didn't want her to get hurt so you started to follow her when ever she went out. She hadn't notice for about 2 months but when she found out she was really pissed. At least her boyfriend held her back. He was really nice about things. Thea kept yells at you the whole time you were with her. But once she calmed down, you and Roy get her back to the house and put her to bed. For the rest of the night you both talked and you found out the Thea wasn't the only one that liked him.

Cyborg - Victor Stone-

You went to a high school football game. You never went before but your best friends' boyfriend was playing and she didn't want to go alone. You had no idea how football worked so for the whole game you stayed quiet and watch the boys run around the field. There was one boy in particular that got your attention. He was tall and seemed to be the best person on the field. Your friend said his name was Victor and he was the most valuable player on the team. For the rest of the game you were looking at him and there were a few times he looked at you. After the game he came over to you and slipped something in your pocket before walking away. You get the paper out and see his name and a phone number. You placed the number in your phone before texting him saying hey and that you were the girl from the game.

Raven-

You always had this dark energy around you that always scared people away from you. You lived in jump city and even though your father created you to take over the world you didn't want to. Hurting innocent people wasn't something you would do. One day when the hive attacked Jump City and the heroes were all tied up, you helped. You didn't some you face as you didn't want anyone to find you, but you think Raven knew who you were because after she was at your doorstep. It scared you but she was there so she could help you like the Titans helped her. You got scared and told her to leave. It wasn't something you wanted to do but you needed it to happen so it didn't happen again.

It’s finally a peaceful day on the Waverider. (Could it be considered day if time doesn’t really pass conventionally in the temporal zone?) Mick hasn’t set anything on fire, Amaya and Nick haven’t tried to jump each other in front of the entire team, and Zari and Wally haven’t accidentally blown something up. All is quiet and it’s nice. You missed the tranquility.

Ray tinkers with his suit, catching up on small adjustments and updates he’s been meaning to make, but the whole Mallus thing had been getting in the way. It isn’t the only thing that’s been interrupted. You’ve barely been able to spend time with each other.

“Sweetheart, could you pass me the tweezers?” his eyebrows are knitted close together as he examines the left gauntlet of his Atom suit. One hand is held out towards you, waiting for the requested tool.

They’re easy enough to find; he keeps the tweezers in a small pouch on the top shelf of his toolbox. You place them in his hand, fingers brushing over his palm. You’re excited for when he’s done. All you want is to have his undivided attention- well, maybe a little divided with a movie to soothe the nostalgia you’ve both been feeling lately. 

He’s quick to readjust a chip inside the tech. You don’t know much about what he does, you were never quite got electronics. 

Ray puts the gauntlet back in its case and sighs, a tired smile starting to form. You follow suit and push your seat closer to his, making an effort to rest your chin on his shoulder, looking over at the mess he made in his workspace.

He looks to you, head craning and neck twisting in an uncomfortable way by the looks of it. His mouth opens and closes before he gives up on trying to say anything. Instead, he leans his head against yours, closing his eyes and humming softly. It’s from Singing in the Rain. You’ve watched it enough times with him to know where it’s from, but you just can’t name the song.

You take his hand in yours, still marveling at how much bigger they are compared to yours. It’s almost comical, really. 

You don’t dare move your head, not wanting to disturb the happy trance he’s in. Ray is always happy, but this is a repose sort of happy. Nothing is bothering him. There’s no immediate threat or danger to anyone or anything. He looks younger, despite the few gray hairs that have started to show in his dark hair. You don’t mind missing out on a movie night to stay like this with him.

He opens an eye when you move his hand closer to your lips, placing a chaste kiss on the back of his hand. You resume holding his hand in your lap, playing with his fingers, but you don’t miss his smile from the corner of your eye.

The ring moved slowly parallel to the metal bar it was around. With brows knitted in concentration, you manipulated the magnetic micro fields around it to move it to the finish without it touching the bar. You just passed your personal record. A smile formed on your lips as you moved it further. That was until the door to your room opened and the sound disturbed your concentration. The edge of the ring touched the bar lightly and a loud buzzer hurt your ears in punishment. 

“Dammit! What do you want?” You turned around to find Ray in the door. He looked at you like a kicked puppy. “Ah Ray… Can this wait? I am in the middle of training.” He frowned. Normally he would have gone already and given you your space. 

“I feel like you’re kind of avoiding me. Did I do something wrong?” He tilted his head. It was so cute. You tore your eyes away from him and grabbed the energy shake off the side table. That puppy look was exactly what you were trying to avoid. Dammit there were fairy godmothers and elves and whatnot wandering the timeline. There was no time for your dumb crush. Lives were at stake. 

“No, not at all, don’t worry about it. I just have been concentrating on improving my microfields. You know that if I refine it I could generate electricity right? That skill will be necessary eventually and I don’t want to be the idiot who did not train enough to get us out of regular Legends shenanigans.” You sat down on your bed and took a good swig from the shake, concealing your face with the bottle. 

“Oh… oh yeah ok,” Ray replied and you thought for a moment that he was going to leave you alone. However, he did not move from his spot. You kept on drinking, side-eyeing him. Your eyes raked over the perfect-fit jeans and the dark red sweater he wore on top of it. Oh how he was a champion of hiding his perfect body. When you came to his head, he had his eyes on you as well. You lowered the bottle and cleared your throat. “Can I uh…” Ray started, “God… I just want the truth. I don’t like people not liking me, especially not if I like them very much.” He ran his hands through his hair during his mini-ramble. The dark brown locks stood up in all directions now. 

“I like you too, Ray. I promise, I am not upset with you.” You chose your words carefully as you rose to your feet. Ray caught on your words. He was used to realising that your ‘better’s never meant ‘good’ and your ‘no lies’ did not mean ‘full truth’ either. You wondered when he had learned your loopholes so quickly. 

He walked inside, the door whooshing close behind him and the situation suddenly felt so intimate. “Not upset then… Perhaps disappointed?” You sighed and shook your head. He kept coming closer. “Then… Sad? Are you sad?” You chuckled and shook your head again. “Furious?” Another shake of the head. Another step closer. He stopped walking when there was half an arm’s length between you. He was talking, but you could not take your eyes off his perfect lips. You were so smitten. Dear Lord, have mercy on your soul. 

Inhibition slipped you as you finally looked up at Ray. Your intense stare shut him right up. “Ray Palmer, I have been avoiding you because I’m super into you. Now please leave me alone or kiss me.” No one could shut up Ray Palmer like you. The boy scout with so many words turned into a gaping fish at your words. Since he was not jumping at the opportunity to kiss you, you pointed towards the exit, but he took a gentle hold of your wrist. 

“No, no, I choose kissing… just… can we wait with that? I am pretty sure my breath still smells and I wouldn’t want our first kiss to be… gross… not that… I mean, ha, I am into you too, super into you, super duper…” 

You did not kiss that day. The memory was cut off with a dull ache in your chest. You opened your eyes, squinting at the ceiling. “Where am I?” You mumbled to yourself. There was shuffling and suddenly your boyfriend was in your vision. He was rambling. How typical. “What happened?” You, very intelligently, inquired, cutting through the words with only two of your own. 

Ray blinked at you. “You saved my life, don’t you remember?” As he stared at you with concern, you frowned, trying to remember. 

The kappa ran between the trees and the bushes. Ray was hot on its tail, his smaller size allowing easy navigation through the highly vegetated area. It was a wonder how Japan from the future had dense forests within the city serving as a park. You moved into position near the park’s entrance. You saw the green creature run right past it and you started running parallel to it. The sidewalk was full, even at this late hour. People yelled at you as you pushed them aside. You were just in time to see Ray change back to his normal size and make a jump to catch the kappa. 

He rolled over the sidewalk and right into the street. You sprinted as you spotted a hover car coming right at him. “Ray! Move!” You exclaimed, totally forgetting about your comm. You stopped in the middle of the crossroads and stretched out your arms. The magnetic field repulsed the hover car, slowing it to a stop right in front of Ray. You let out a sigh of relief, before you found yourself off your feet, right before everything went black. 

“Ah yeah, a car. You’re welcome, by the way.” You held your arm out and Ray took it to help you up. He helped you out of the medbay. Apparently you were all good, just bound to be sore with some minor injuries to your rib that Gideon could not fix for you. “Where are the others?” 

Ray was the perfect gentleman as he guided you to your new, shared room. “Still taking care of that kappa. We took it almost to the waverider, but it got away before the hatch was fully down.” You sighed, making a joke about how they were hopeless without you. Once in your room, Ray pulled you close and let you lean against him as he undressed you. You smiled as you smelled the mixture of his deodorant and grime of a long day. You helped him minimally, letting him undress you like a doll. Once you were down to nothing, he pushed you down onto the bed. “Don’t lie down yet. I’ll clean you up a little so you can sleep comfortably.” 

You hummed and let him take care of you. Ray returned shortly after with a bucket of water and a small towel. He was methodical and careful as he wiped down your skin. You closed your eyes and let your head hang back. The second he was done, you carefully lowered yourself down onto the bed, legs still hanging off the edge. Ray walked over to your dresser to get you some underwear. You whistled at him. He looked over his shoulder at you, an unspoken inquiry on his face. “I am naked on our bed and there is no one on the ship. Don’t you want to make use of that?” You winked at him, making him laugh. 

“As much as I would love to - for the record I really, really want to - I don’t think we should have sex with your injuries.” You pouted at him and trailed a hand down to your sex, rubbing yourself slowly, teasingly. “Uhm, uh…” You smirked when Ray was clearly having doubts about his righteous decisions. You saw his eyes follow the path of your fingers. “Just oral? I can do that, you can just lie there.” You failed at suppressing the grin that spread over your face. As he gestured to your body while suggesting you’d just lie there.

You chuckled and beckoned him over with your fingers. “I’ll take anything from you, but please lose your clothing as well.” Ray pulled his black shirt off in one smooth motion. He then unceremoniously pushed his jeans and underwear down together. Ray dropped to his knees like a man about to worship a god. He put your legs over his shoulders, removed your hand and got to work with his tongue. He lapped over you with languid strokes. Your eyes closed and your head fell back onto the bed. A happy sigh left you as his glorious tongue licked up your taste. 

“I love doing this,” Ray announced between licks as if you were not awfully aware of how happy he could be from just servicing you with his mouth. He teased you with only the tip of his tongue, before going back to those slow, long licks. You sighed and put a hand through his soft hair, pulling a little so he would put his lips around your most sensitive parts. Just one tug was all it took for Ray to drop the teasing and just get to work with sucking and licking and moving his head like he would die from a lack of your pleasure. 

You moaned at the sudden spike of pleasure. Your back naturally arched off the bed and you winced at the pain that stabbed through your ribcage. And just like that, the pleasure stopped and Ray was looking you over with saliva still dripping down his chin. “Are you ok? Are you in pain?”
