Okay so obviously I'm pretty gutted that Nickelback have announced only US tour yet and no Europe but at the same time I really really love those little teasing videos? It's obvious they were made with care and love and when you're fan it's so so great.

I don't know how we're not screaming more? They literally took ATRR car out of garage and they're taking it for a ride. And damn it, I want to see it.

I absolutely love ATRR (who doesn't, heh?), this is like tour of my dreams and there are people who get to go... Have fun, you lucky ones!

okay well we're past the revenge/larxene plotline so i guess i can talk about some scrap thoughts i had back when i assumed i'd have more time to write it than--well, I actually had a lot of time to write it and get into atr and it's other plotlines BUT I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT

ANYWAY

A SCRAP THOUGTH I HAD FOR BEFORE-THAT-SEQUENCE WHICH NEVER WENT IN

RIKU BEING CRAZY AND FINDING A TRAINING BUDDY TO SHOOT LIGHTNING AT HIM SO HE CAN BUILD UP A TOLERANCE

OF COURSE RIKU WAN'TS TO BUILD UP A TOLERANCE and yanno perhaps he does this after the larxene thing lAUGHS but he would have definitely wanted to before if he'd had the time

he wants to build up a tolerance

ofc none of the hb gang is goign to train with him and namine can't and sokai probably won't either

so he goes to

roxas

who is just as crazy about training as he is

actually, crazier

and roxas got no problem w/ pumping riku thru with lightning in the name of training, since it is in the name of training (he also has no idea of riku's past w/ lightning i mean rly so many ppl know but so many ppl also DON'T know)

So they’re on the beach of Destiny Islands or some other beach Obscure out of the way place Where no one’s gonna stumble on them on accident And Roxas casts Thunder in Riku’s general direction So Riku can practice Getting a hold Of not collapsing as it hits him

Roxas questions only once (probably after Riku nearly collapses the first time tbh) “You sure about this?” “Postiive” Riku grinds out through clenched teeth and shakes his head

Gosh and Roxas starts pumping lightning through him and Riku does tense and shakes his head and grits his teeth “stop it stop it stop it you are better than this” And eventually Either Roxas does Thundaga or the accumulated pain is enough

Riku collapses on the ground with sand in his mouth “fUUUCK” he literally screams at the top of his lungs because he hurts and her laugh is still pounding in his head he grips the sand between his hands “I’m gonna kill her I’m gonna kill her I’m gonna kill her she is going to fucking pay” AND THEN ROXAS COMES OVER AND CLAPS ONE OF THE THUNDER PROTECTION CHARMS AROUND RIKU'S ARM--only one that reduces it by 30%-50% but it's still one of them riku's just ???? "it reduces thunder damage" roxas explains "maybe it'll help"

and it helps a little

takes the edge off of it

though riku's weakness to lightning/thunder is not physical, it is mental, and any feel of it could make him collapse. anything short of 100% protecting him from it does not--will not--help

buuut he still insists on borrowing it and roxas is like "yeah sure but i want it back after you kill larxene or whatever it is you're gonna do bc you'll fucking need it" ((he knows riku don't got this and no amount of training is goign to help, at this point))

and uh

yeah

that's that

((riku also is like "don't tell namine about this she'll fucking kill me" but i mean))

ACTUALLY THERE'S NOT MUCH TO SAY 

it was spurred bc Larxene's eyes had technically gone full gold bc exposure to darkness but i had to change that in ftpverse just so that people who weren't reading magik's fic wouldn't assume she'd been norted

and that got me thinking about

what if she HAD been norted

and like i said there's not much to say

but basically Riku wouldn't have lasted ten seconds and he would not have survived that he would've been norted

because i mean

he hardly stood a chance against larxene

he definitely would not stand a chance against larxene and xehanort COMBINED

i mean

xehanort's strength

+ larxene's knowledge of all his weaknesses

+ the fact a single lightning bolt would disable him

he ain't gettin out of that

THERE WERE ALSO THOUGHTS ABOUT LARXENENORT AND RIKUNORT HAVING TO PUT UP WITH EACH OTHER AND /HATING/ IT

but idk if they keep their original personalities?? enough???? for that???? idk what magik's canon is on that 100% i mean marluxia sssoOOORTTaaa kept his

I want to gush about how Riku's absorbed and regurgitated and adopted behaviors of Larxene's, how he learned cruelty from her, how every action he treats her with in this sequence is how she treated him 

however:
