This kid showed up at my door again and just started crying?? They’ve been here maybe an hour and a half now and just periodically burst into tears? Obviously I’m concerned but whatever it is they’re upset about they can’t explain to me. Seems like they speak some other language?

Let me tell you that meeting your internet friends in person is literally the most amazing thing. And not because its a wave of emotions and everyone is crying because “I finally met you holy shit” but rather because it feels... normal. It feels right. These are your friends — chosen family — and you’re just seeing how tall they are. And you get to hug them and hold their hand. And it’s amazing because you have pictures with them instead of just sending selfies. You went to lunch with them and you hear their voice. You went to a museum with them and you walked around the streets of a city just talking freely.

And the best feeling of all is getting to say “I’ll see you again” because at some point you will.
