12. Free Time

When Elika's working out in the field and there's a lull in her tracking efforts, she will read a good novel. Nothing like reading a good work of fiction to remove herself from the wilderness and hunting, if only for a little.

Apologies if these will be posted late. I fear I've also been bitten by the Baldur's Gate bug and have been trying different builds in the game while continuing the story on one. I have yet to make an Elika build, but if people are interested, then I could provide screenshots for that playthrough.

Auraugust 2023 - Day 2: Contest

Although my participation in Auraugust will be limited this year, this is the one prompt I really wanted to do - I've been aching for a good excuse/motivator for it. Behold my Au Ra lady and WoL, Drakyr Saovine!

I headcanon that Drakyr's Xaela tribe had their own version of the World Nomad Games, which is a competition showcasing traditional sports primarily from the Central Asian region's nomadic peoples. The Saovine tribe originally held these competitions as part of their own culture - a less-bloody-and-deadly alternative to actual combat - and then as a show when they travelled to Eorzea. The World Nomad Games includes, among its many contests, archery done with the feet instead of the hands, which looks rad as hell. So naturally, I had to pose Drakyr doing it!

She can still do this, and it never fails to impress!

Au Ra August Day 10 - Minion

The First had a lot of emotional impact on Mara, but one of the good things that came from it was meeting Seto. It broke her heart when Seto spoke of his dear friend and how he never believed Ardbert capable of evil. She was moved to adopt an amaro of her own and took this little guy back to the Source with her.
