So at some point on their roadtrip, the gang is just traipsing through some busy outdoor mall somewhere and Race sees one of those outdoor stage things with no one and nothing on it, and he jokingly dares Jack to give these random shoppers a performance. He didn't know what he was expecting. What he was NOT expecting was a meaningful look between Jack and Crutchie and a very loud, clearly frequently done rendition of 'Defying Gravity.'

Alright I saw the one you did for Crutchie and it made my day. I have to ask- how did Davey get himself kicked out of Walgreens? (or whatever store lol)

Okay, here's the thing. I wanna say that it's something related to Les or Race or Jack or whoever he's with but that's too easy (and kinda cheating). So this is interesting.I'd say he was alone, looking at some trinket in the little kids' toy isle for Les. Something My Little Pony because Les grew up on watching it and can't stand it when Davey teases him about it. So it's a joke with them. But, being Davey, he gets a little clumsy and drops it and kicks it in his effort to catch it before it hits the floor. And it hits the floor. Hard. So he's now broken whatever this mechanical pink glitter pony thing is from the inside of the plastic casing. Like a leg snapped off or something. And being the absolute Boy Scout that he is, he can't just leave it on the shelf like a normal human. But he can't be seen in the middle of this aisle obsessing with this pink glitter pony thing. So he finds a little corner of the store and sits down and tries to discretely rip the packaging open and fix the toy and put it back inside so he can put it back as it was and run away and because it's New York and he's a teen alone in a drug store it looks shady af and a few customers report it and so someone working the floor comes over and he's so startled when she comes up from behind him and his hands are shaking as he combs this pony's hair and stutters "I-I-I WAS GONNA GIVE IT BACK."
